yngwie (14912) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 30, 2010
Bottle. It’s a hazy, orange-golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head leaving lacings. The aroma isn’t very nice, almost puke-like in the beginning, but given some time it turns fruity and sweetish. Sweet, fruity and grainy flavor, low on bitterness, the finish pretty much the same. Medium body, a bit on the sweet side. Overall, a disappointing one, but drinkable. 091223

Nickls (1944) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 25, 2010
Bottle. Lightly hazy golden yellow/orange. Minimal white head even though a fairly vigorous pour. Aroma has some yeastiness and a lot of graininess, but not as much hops as I would have hoped. Flavor continues on the same path that is lacking bitterness; some cereal grains; and breadiness. Some hops slide in toward the finish. Grassy. Chalky and soft body with tiny, bubbly carbonation. Not a bad brew, just not one of the better ones in the style. Just kinda muted.

Indra (2694) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - MAY 23, 2010
500ml swing-top bottle, dated Aug. 2009. Lightly sweet, bready, cereal malts greet the nose, along with touches of grassy, floral, citric hops and mild fruitiness. Cloudy golden in color with a fine layer of sediment and a thin, lasting head. Flavor is very gently bitter and citric to start, turning sweet and fruity, finishing with a hint of spice and mildly grassy, herbal hop flavor. Semi-dry and refreshing palate features gentle but insistent effervescence, coupled with a light-medium body. Excellent drinkability and fairly well balanced. Certainly worth a try for any fan of the style.
