The pleasure of yesteryear
Velvety matte shine – Smooth, full-bodied flavor
Munich Kellerbier Anno 1417 shines with a seductive golden honey color. A beer with a distinctive character: earthy, bold, quaffable and yet refreshingly mild and light. Just like a real Bavarian.

Creamy and effervescent, typical of unfiltered beers, a delightful ticklish mouthfeel. Aromas of caramel, honey and plum dominate and emphasize the beer’s malty, spicy flavor. Unmistakable hints of apple and grapefruit bring in a fruity freshness.

Our Munich Kellerbier, a beer like from the good old days when beer was born. After aging four weeks, it is bottled unfiltered, which still preserves all its yeast vitamins and trace elements.

Since 1417, Hacker Pschorr stands for traditional Bavarian brewing. The quality beers of Hacker-Pschorr are all brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only hops, malt and water. 12.5°

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy pour, little head. Strong flavor at the front then fades with no aftertaste. Slightly citrus taste.

Keg at Paulaner Stuttgart, 08/02/15. Hazed golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malt, light bread, faint citric peel, lemon curd, vanilla. Taste comprises pale malt, bread dough, straw, citric notes. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a trace of citric zest. Decent enough kellerbier.

500 ml bottle from the Beer store. Lovely unfiltered lager. I’d love to find it fresher but this bottle was solid. Clean malt body and balanced hopping. Worth guzzling.

Cloudy orange with white thin top. There is a lack of taste and aroma for one unfiltered beer. Easy to drink, watery, after taste is not the divine one. The name is like Haagen Dazs, promising some aristocracy, but there is no any nobility in this beer. From 1417, they say, they make beers. So many centuries wasted finally to produce this really ordinary beer!

Pours a hazy light-golden colour with a very slight amber hue. Nice frothy white head with great retention and creamy lacing. Toffee aromas with lots of fruits (oranges, dates), nutty and some dark malts like rye. Biscuit malt taste with light caramel and some decent fruits again. Yeasty mouthfeel, but not too tarty. Quite a good lager that is easy to drink, but has loads of character."

Fruit, coffee, toasted malts. Lightly carbonated, minimal head. Good flavour, had as a draft.
