Has a wide and a bit sweet taste. Not too edgy one. A one of the happiest moment in life is, when you have a glass of this beer in front of you. And I’m not joking.

500 ML flip-top bottle in Germany. Cloudy golden color, with a deep full slightly off white head. Aroma is of sour-dough, earthy and intense. Lots of carbonation at first. Smooth, light and very easy to drink. A seris of tastes await you and they change as you drink it. Sweet flavor in the middle and end. Palate ends very nicely and easy. Truely a pleasure to drink. A very good Keller and a great beer. Will have this again for sure.

On tap at the Castle; Tapped a hazy clouded gold with a tight sticky 2 finger white cap that laced the glass in draining. Aroma was pungent bread dough aromas with some subtle honey-citrus and grassy wild botanical tones. Profile: sturdy bready malts in the front give a rich medium body and creamy mouth feel...ample German noble hops to balance; herbal-spicey tones...mid palate we get some of the complexity of an unfiltered full-of-life lager....hoppy bready sweetness is joined by the herbal bittering and some citrus-raisin tones....finish is crisp and a tad dry with medium bittering and a wonderful bread dough aftertaste. Impression: This tastes like my favorite Munich helles but much more full of life...fresh, rich malt and yeast flavours, bright crisp hopping...well balanced and drinkable...if this was on tap all the time at my local watering hole I’d rarely stray from it as a favorite session lager.

Bottle from Peckhams. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a fair white head. Nice yeasty, grassy nose with an earthy mustiness. Tasty mushroom soup flavour with yeast, earth and some vegetal characteristics. Mild carbonation and a little CO2 prickle. Nice kellerbier.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2012 Bottle0.5 swing top bottle. Initially pours clear then it colors up to bright orange with yeast in suspension, nice foamy head. Lots of yeast remains at the bottle’s bottom. Crude aroma, extremely low carbonation. Fruity taste, thick body, yeasty, earthy, quite sweet.
KegTasted this on tap from 20L barrel-like "party-keg", on a hot day of fishing, kept cold in fresh spring water. An absolute delice, intense orange, less thick, very low gas, a pleasure.

Enjoyed multiple times from these kegs, always lovely. Somewhat in between a helles and a weizen. Took spicy notes and smoothness from a weizen and the drinkability of a good helles. One of the best zwick’l around.

Bottle. Slightly hazy orange beer, with a thin but solid off-white head. Aroma is hoppy and lightly yeasty. Interesting taste, light malt, hint of fruit. Smooth and mellow. I like it.
