Dark color with a medium head.Malt and caramel can be tasted. Could be a little more hoppy but finishes long in the palate. Nice beer

Nice dark color neat head. Nice full aroma of malt with some fruit hints. Good overall flavor, slight tinges of sweetness on the edge of the maltiness. Nice mouthfeel, nice texture. Good finish.

A deep brown on the pour, the head modest in size, frothy in texture and the color a light tan as it dissipates the lace left behind a nice covering upon the glass. Mostly malt nose, sweet, hints of caramel, clean and fresh, with the start sweet and thickly malt, top moderate in feel, the finish is moderately carbonated, the hops pleasing in their spicy presence, quite dry and drinkable.

All I could smell here was overripe fruit. The flavor was sickeningly swwet to the point of being vomitous. 1 taster and I walked away, lunch intact. Thank Hera.

Dark brown. Grainy, pistachio and cherry flavor. Tannic. Satisfying, but a little unbalanced. Pruney, rye aroma. A little watery, it could have taken some more hop and carbonation sting.

Malty with a fresh bitterhop aroma.
Dark red, creamy head.
Malty, a bit burned flavors.
Medium body.

Dark copper color with a tall shimmering tan head. Creamy malt aroma. Creamy malt feel throughout with a touch of spice(cinnamon). Somewhat syrupy body that exudes malt. I love malty beers adn this is one.

münchner dunkel where i am. quite full and rich and grainy but couldn’t find much of that clean, hoppy finish which made it a little sticky

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2005 Had some last night, in a bottle. Sampled the draft version a week ago, and vastly prefer it. A good mixture of malty sweetness with a hint of hops and esoteric flavors. A great finish and lingering palate. Drinks easy, but surprisingly rich. This is a beer to be savored, not slammed.

Damn! This brew’s terrific! Sweet aroma. Chocolatey in appearance. I could just sit and drink this all day. A typically delicious munich dunkel-style beer that really shouldn’t be so hard to find. A roasty, yet sweet malt flavor that’s not thick or excessively heavy.
