On tap:
Pours a glorious clear brown with a 2 finger off white cap. Laces up the glass sides.
Rich roasty-toasty aroma with some dried fruit and wet hay.
Rich chewy mouth feel, big dose of toasted munich malts in front offset by spalter herbal bittering, still leans to the lightly sweet side. Mid pa;ate there is some complexity of flavors; figs, cocoa, pumpernickel...goes to a clean roasty-bittering dry finish with a nice noble bite at the end.
A great dunkel I could session with.

Bottle @ Bayernhaus, KL. Not the Bavariahaus, that’s a diff. place. Dark warm brown with thick stable beige head. Aroma is solid pumpernickel bread with rich molasses and rich dark bread. The palate is soft with low carbonation. Verging on thin and flat. That’s a bit depressing. The flavors are well-developed although not super bright. Dry entry with a sweeter finish. Some Worstershire. Is nice.
