On draught at Ludwig’s Garten in Philadelphia, PA. Dark brown but clear... not even close to being opaque. Tight head. Malty nose with slight caramel notes. Flavor is overwhelmingly malty but weak finish knocks this down a few rating points.

Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are malt, caramel, nuts and hops.

Swingtop bottle. Pours deep amber with a medium beige head. The aroma is toasted caramel, malt and some dark fruit. The flavour is dark malty with some toasted caramel notes. Sweet and bitter malty finish.

On tap at WVRST, pours a dark brown with a nice foam tan head. Aromas of rye, malt, roasted nuts, caramel. Sweet to clean taste, with a subtle creamy mouth feel. Pretty nice dark lager.

A dunkel with a deeper/darker almost rye flavor. Like liquid bread. Thick but also fresh. Tap at züm Spückmeier in Münich.

Tap @ Cafe Berlin. Transparent, dark copper orange appearance with a tan head. Rich caramel malty, toffee, grassy, slightly nutty, rich malty aroma. Rich nutty, light dark fruity, caramel malty flavor. Not bad.
