Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with a mild citrus note. Bitter, hoppy flavour with mild, sweet notes of yeast and malt. Bitter and slightly paperlike finish. OK but rather anonymous.

Nice body tot his beer and fairly thick head, aroma is musty malt. Taste again is malt with a sour tinge. Clear golden body with fast rising carbonation.. Something about the finish spoils it for me...too tangy

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
50cl swing-top bottle from just about any grocery store in Munich. Pours a crystal, yellow-gold colored body with an inch thick, frothy and foamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened pils malts, some fruity notes, and touches of straw. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened pils malts with a few fruity notes and touches of straw. Finishes pretty clean and somewhat dry before leaving a short aftertaste. Light body and a somewhat active carbonation. Overall, a decent Helles. Nothing special, but no off-flavors and it was pretty easy drinking.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours apple juice with a soda fountain cap that fades to an abyss of existential German nothingness. Another breakfast beer: tastes like soggy cornflakes. Still, the micros around here could learn something about balance & simplicity from this beer. But I’m confused why there are so many so-so European pilsners at my lcbo when there is so much more exciting local stuff that I just can’t seem to get access to. Oh Canada.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yellow-gold, clear, thick white head; light malty aroma; malty, lemony taste, perhaps some bread; softer than other Helles I’ve tried; light bitter finish; uncomplicated yet softly pleasing and very drinkable.

Bottle at La 100 de Beri, Bucharest, Romania. Hazy amber-orange, white head. Preserved peach and biscuit aroma, sweet, peachy, oxidized taste. Too light, fizzy, a little watery and sweet finish. Past its prime.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Swing-top bottle. Clear light golden colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of light malt, mild hops, mild grains, mild lemon fruits, grass and hay. Just too mild in taste, too dull, too oring. Average Dortmunder/Helles with a medium-bitter boring finish and palate.
