bartlebier (3429) - Belchium im Biersgau, - JAN 29, 2013
50cl flip-top bottle, BB 05/2013. - Something very stale in the aroma about this Helles, right from the onset. Some citrus sparkles up, but quickly subsides for mainly watery and wet cardboard notes. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste, dry-ish, watery mouthfeel. Sub-par for a Münchner Hell.

Pours gold from the bottle. Aroma is malty, herbal, with hints of tea. Taste is lightly sweet with grain and herbal notes. Finish is mild, short, with light watery hints. An unremarkable experience.

A mid Amber yellow coloured beer with a frothy white head. A mild malt aroma, slightly syrupy, followed by a light hoppiness. Medium dry mouthfeel. A biscuity, medium sweet malt flavour to start is followed by a tart, slightly green hop taste. The hoppy taste lingers on into the finish. Bottle from Real supermarket, Freising, Germany.

Aromat: Subtelny, lekko slodowy, slabo wyczuwalny, ale przyjemny, lekki. Barwa: jasno zolta, wrecz slomkowa. Klarowne, bardzo przejrzyste. Piana srednioziarnnista, raczej grubsza, utrzymuje sie ladna chwile, bardzo dobry lacing. Smak: lekkie, pijalne, mocniej wysycone. Neutralne, czyste i jednorodne w smaku, bardzo lekki i krotki posmak slodu. Gorczyka znikoma. Niewiele sie dzieje. Typowy Münchener Hell - lekko, jednorodnie i pijalnie. Dobrze wchodzi, ale praktycznie bez jajec i wyrazu. Ponadprzecietne w gatunku, ale bez szalu.

heavy (2773) - Split, CROATIA - MAY 24, 2016
May ’15. On tap on Rockavaria festival and bottled (0.5l fliptop) for comparison since I had doubts. It poured clear golden body with medium sized head. Herbal and lemon hop aroma, touch of bread. Neutral, lightly bitter flavor, hay, bread, touch of herbal hops. Thin bodied with shorter finish. Clean, pleasant, although a bit too watery overall.

Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond, Newcastle. Pours blond with a nice frothy off white head that fades quite quckly. Loght citrus grain aroma. The taste has a touch of spice with crisp metallic botterness and light citrus. Nice and refreshing for the start of summer.

Draught, 5.2 % abv, at Cafe OTO. Clear golden body topped by a white head. Restrained noble hops with citric hints on the nose. Taste of grass, noble hops and pale malts. Short ending. Clean in the mouth. Fair enough at the live concert (London 09.04.2016).
