2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bevuta alla spina al Kapuziner di Arquata; helles piuttosto convenzionale, noiosa, corpo acquoso, frizzantezza elevata, retrogusto amaro per lo stile.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle by Dohny, many thanks! Ruined industrial aroma. That also describes the colour. I drink unwillingly, taste corny, syrupy, disgusting.

Bottle. Golden color with a white head. This is yet another standard thin and boring beer

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
50cl flip-top bottle, BB 05/2013. - Something very stale in the aroma about this Helles, right from the onset. Some citrus sparkles up, but quickly subsides for mainly watery and wet cardboard notes. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste, dry-ish, watery mouthfeel. Sub-par for a Münchner Hell.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medium gold with a thin, fizzy, lacy, lasting, off-white, head. Smells of toasted malt, grass/vegetable, light fruit, and grain. Medium oily body with medium carbonation. Tastes of sweet fruit with apples and good bready malt, corn, and some grassy/floral finish. Not bad but I could use more flavour.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Clear yellow with a medium sized good lacing white head. Sulphur, citrus, herbal, paper, grain. Light/medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and light/medium bitter. I like the nose, but the flavour is a bit dull and sweet.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Surprisingly good for a style I usually don’t like much. Has good bitterness and a nice aftertaste that keeps for quite a bit. OK, doesn’t smell great and since it’s a lager it isn’t pretty to look at but I enjoyed it. tap at zum Spöckmeier in München.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Golden with a moderately frothy head. Aroma is malt and citrus, taste is malt, citrus and some hops, finished by a light bitterness. I am not a fan of the style but this may be the best helles I’ve yet had.
