TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 2. This brew from a bottle was sampled at the Stone Lion Tavern in Chattanooga Tennessee a quaint local bar dark, small, crowded with very friendly people and a bit too smokey for our tastes. This brew poured a Medium sized head of fine to medium sized white colored long lasting bubb;es that left behind a trans parent light orange yellow softly carbonated body and a poor lace. It had a mild malt hop aroma and a mouthfeel that was smooth from start to finish with a mild tingle in the finish. A good drinking brew for a night at the pub.

Just a hint of haze on this pale lager. Firm white head. Malt and honey aroma with a hint of flowers. Straight ahead, clean malt flavor with a watery, sweet finish. Has some lacing.

Nicely hoppy and malty beer. Pours a bit dark yellow colour with a large head. Quite light body, could be stronger. Not bad at all. A refreshing and nice beer.

Bottle, bought @ Ambrosetti, Berlin.
Clear golden with a small, fizzy, frothy, white head. Lots of clear, big bubbles in the liquid. Aroma has lots of grain and grass with a slight vegetable edge to it. Medium carbonation, impressive creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, good bready malts and corn-like sugars mixed with a dose of grassy hops. But this is still average; especially for Hacker-Pschorr.

Bottle brown, 500 ml,11.5 P.
Appearance: Pours beautiful regular golden, not perfectly clear, quite lively carbonated body, head is snowy white, freshly looking, pillowy, frothy, leaving really good lacing, initially head is quite big in size, slowly decreasing to small but very firm and long lasting.
Aroma: Very nice and fresh citrous-hoppy and strongly aromatic top, very well pronounced notes of orange, clementine, lime, smoe notes of lemon, gooseberry, pineapple, overally very soft, very nice sweetish malty base hidden under the refreshing fruity domination.
Flavour: Front is very mild and soft also in termos of body carbonation, this pleasant texture reminds me of some light bitters, gentle, fresh, crisp malty sweetness towards the tip of the tongue and the accompaining citrous, clementine, orange, lime, lemon, gooseberry, pineapple accents in nose. Finish duration is short to medium, there are some scents of malty sweetness in the aftertaste and weak notes of yeast.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation on palate is moderate to calm, finish feel is very clean, noble, pure with shy notes of yeast and gentle crispy-malty saltyness.

Golden light, almost slight haze, thick head of very fine bubbles. Aroma is of some dry dusty grain, rich melanoidins, a light toffee, and trace amounts of sulfur. Medium body, good carbonation. With requisite noble aromas and proper bitterness level. A rather unremarkable Helles Bock, could use a little more malt. Again, slight sulfur dominates initial sip.

Reviewing from Notes. I had this beer at the brewery during Oktoberfest 2010. An amazing experience. A - Perfectly clear and golden. Very little lacing and with a thin white head. S - Not a whole lot on the nose. Slight sweet malt and yeast. T - Nice and clean. This was such a subtle beer than any imperfections would be quite evident. Really fresh and finishes a bit sweet. This has really spoiled me as trying similar styles in the states aren’t quite the same. M - Perfect. The carbonation everywhere in Germany was perfect even from the kegs at Oktoberfest. Not to think or thick. I really enjoyed this one. It really changed my perception of lagers. Serving type: on-tap

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is light floral hoppy with some notes of straw and grain. Light butterscotch in the flavour that has notes of floral hops, caramel and malt. Some straw in the finish.
