500ml fliptop bottle. Poured light yellow with a full but small white head. Aroma of hops, some malt and grass. Much the same in the taste leading to a mildly bitter finish. Clean and unoffensive but boring.

500 ml bottle. Clear golden colour, with two fingers of creamy white head goes down slowly, but doesn’t disappear. Aroma of sweet cookies, nutts, butter. In mouth it’s smooth, almost oily. Taste is kinda neutral at first, a little bit sweet maybe. Aftertaste turns on moderate bitter.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and grainy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 290412

Bottled. Clear pale yellow color with a longstanding white head. Malty and grassy aroma. Sweet malty flavor with a light mouthfeel. Long malty bitter finish.

Surprisingly good for a style I usually don’t like much. Has good bitterness and a nice aftertaste that keeps for quite a bit. OK, doesn’t smell great and since it’s a lager it isn’t pretty to look at but I enjoyed it. tap at zum Spöckmeier in München.

Poured a medium head, similar colour to apple juice, clear. Slight noble hop smell with a hint of yeast. Fairly sweet, just about balanced, a bit malty. Medium body, a bit of fiz. Overall a decent thirst quencher but you could tell it was mass produced, just didn’t quite match the flavour of Export/Helles I’ve tried that came from smaller breweries.

Pours pale yellow clear, with white head. Aromas maltiness, cardboard and some metallic flavors. Texture is smooth watery with slick mouthful carbonation and softness. Palate is flat some sweet maltiness with hints of dryness and hoppy finish and little fruitiness. Quite dull and soulless, drinkable - sure. Tastes better when warms up.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Geruchlich ists leicht hopfig und würzig malzig. Es ist würzig vollmundig und mild und süffig zugleich. Eine gute Mischung für ein lecker Bierchen. Zu nem deftigen Essen ists prima geeignet, aber zum Stammbier würds nicht reichen.

Short beige head. Clear yellow color. To start it has a short sulphur aroma then malty aroma. Nice malty taste with a small bitterness and small sweetness.

Bottle. Cloudy, pale yellow. A large head with a little lacing but disappointingly it doesn’t hang around all that long. Aroma is very mild - citrus with a little bread. As much of a fan as I am of this style of beer I have to say this one is lacking in flavour. What taste there is, is lovely - light flavour, lemons, yeast, sweet and bitter - but it’s all over far too quickly. Lacking any significant aftertaste. Given the heritage this is disappointing.

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is light floral hoppy with some notes of straw and grain. Light butterscotch in the flavour that has notes of floral hops, caramel and malt. Some straw in the finish.
