This is the beer that they serve only at Oktoberfest. It is NOT sold in North America. It is a much lighter beer than the common Oktoberfest-Marzen.

A dark brown barely clear lager that pours with a small tan head that disappears in a minute. The aroma is strong barley and rye. The flavor is very malty, grassy and full. The character, however is sharp and bitibg whilst being disagreeable. The finish taste like barley malt syrup from concentrate. This beer does remind you of the fall season though, primarily with its aroma.

On tap at a German restaurant. A very nice lager! Full-flavored with the right amount of bitterness. Refreshing. The beer I ordered was simply called Hacker-Pschorr lager, so I assume this is the same stuff.

[758-20071013] Tap @ West 50 (Mississauga, ON). Very faint aroma has hints of banana yeast. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bland yeasty flavour has a weird straw characteristic. Light body is kind of watery. Mediocre.

A good head with a malty aroma coming off the beer. The beer is a copper orange color. The taste is very balanced between a slight hops and malt. Enjoyed this beer very much

12oz bottle. Pours with a big billowy head, but it doesn’t last. Not much aroma, maybe too cold. Beautiful caramel/orange. Smooth, well balanced. A very, very good beer.

Tap: A bit of a spicey taste. Good body and not bad for an Oktoberfest. medium body and full flavor. Small head.

On tap during Oktoberfest at Lenz. Yellow and massively foamy. Hoppy and creamy. Very solid beer had many many of these. Pity I missed the tent itself.
