This is the beer that they serve at The Oktoberfest. Sold in the US as "Superior Festbier"

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2013 Slightly spicy scent. Clear golden colour. Very crisp and drinkable and a mild sweetness, but without much discernable flavour. Lively carbonation and medium to light body. Not sure I?d buy again

On tap at sebar. Golden color white head. Aroma of syrupy malts and alcohol, oily texture and chemical aftertaste. Fueled up unrefined lager. Alcoholic feel and very disappointing.

Draft. Lightly buttery barley malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with large head. Moderately sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Smooth - this was my 4th liter of beer during Oktoberfest so some of the subtle nuances may have escaped me.

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of roast malts, caramel, and a touch of spice(ginger?). Flavor has a nice smooth sweet roasted taste. A little bitter on the finish.

Draught @ Bavarian Bier Cafe, Eagle St, Brisbane during their Oktoberfest promotion. It pours clear golden with a good sized frothy white head. Nose and taste is sweet malt grains plus light floral/grassy hops providing a light crisp herbal bitterness. Nice clean medium bodied palate. Eminently sessionable.
