Clear amber in color with a small white head. Aroma is dusty grain, toasty malts and molasses. Taste is lightly grainy, with caramel, molasses, and light notes of must/light oxidation. Hallertau hops have pretty much aged out on this bottle and the beer has lost it’s balance. travita (1861), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 19, 2007 Amber orange color with an all right head. Malty aroma and taste with nutty and carmel notes. Pretty true to style. Not bad but not great.

Aroma is quite grassy with a fair amount of candied malts and mild hops. Flavor is bitter sweet malts, grains and hops. Finish is bitter and mildly dry. Pretty decent overall. clueo (112), Pennsylvania, USA Nov 24, 2007 Great pour with a dark copper color and nice head and body which starts out foggly and settles wonderfully. Nice sweet smell which carries through to the taste and the nice clean finish. A great Oktoberfest! SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Nov 21, 2007 12 oz. bottle from courtesy of DarkElf - thanks Stephen. Pours deep reddish orange color with a moderate beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. Malty aroma, rich with very ripe summer fruits, hints of molasses, clover and floral hops. Flavor is also malty and rich, carrying through the same notes of the aroma, with a crisp, floral hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Nice, enjoyable quaff.
