| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 17, 2007 Like a recent reviewer I picked this sample bottle up labled as an "original oktoberfest’. Date on the lalel shows August of ’05 and I just drank it March of ’07 and it doesn’t seem any the worse for wear.
I agree with other reviewers that aroma and appearance outweight the rather thin taste and slighty too bitter finish for this style of beer..still, I’ve had far worse. BustedFlat (552), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Poured from a 355ml bottle into a pint glass, amber with a medium tan head. Aroma was primarily sweet malt. Taste was the same, sweet malt with a watery mouthfeel. Very thin. Nothing offensive, but not much stands out.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2007 This bottle is over a year out of date, and none the worse for it. Aroma is sweet malts, grasys hops cutting through. Taste is similarly swet a little grainy on the malts, but still a satisfying fucker! JohnBruns (32), USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 7, 2007 The bottle I have is "Original Oktoberfest" which came out of a sampler box. The color is typical Octoberfest with a rich carmel color. Has a bitterness that I don’t care for as it finishes. joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA

Hacker-Pschorr’s Oktoberfest poured a very light copper. This is one of the clearest beers I have ever seen. 1 finger micro bubble head that took a little time to dissolve. What make this beer look good Is how clear it is.
The smell is malty and sweet. That’s about all I’m getting from it. It has a pretty weak nose on it.
The taste is alright It’s a little lacking as well but there’s bready qualities followed by just a touch of sweetness and it seems like a little fruit. There’s a bitterness at the end that is coming from roasted malt.
The mouthfeel is good. It’s medium bodied with that chalky texture. One of the better aspects of this brew.
Drinkability is a little above average but nothing special. It’s a beer you could drink a lot of considering the texture and mouthfeel but when you bring the taste and smell into it would you really want to?

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Bottle (2005 version). A copper coloured Oktoberfest beer brewed in the traditional Marzen style. I ahve found each year that there are differences in depth of flavour. This beer I consider to be the best of the 2005 Oktoberfest beers. A well balanced malty flavour with a long finish.
