Rballs01 (264), Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA Aug 22, 2005 Pours amber-gold. Out of all the German fest-beers this one is on top of my list. That doesn’t mean is soo good but the best i’ve tasted. Easy-drinking, clean refreshin with a mild-nutty, nutmeg flavor. Sweeet. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA Aug 12, 2005 On draught at Bauern-Stube in south Orlando, Florida. Copper-colored with thick white head. The caramel aroma is the first thing that pops out of the dimpled liter stein. Caramel sweetness with a hint of bitterness on the finish. Despite being a little higher in alcohol content, it is still easy enough to down a liter at one sitting. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Aug 10, 2005 slight haze to this amber brown beer. hints of molasses an dcaramel on a malty nose, tart and clean rich malty flavors that pushes the palate with its aftertaste. gggow! MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 29, 2005 Bottle. Dark copper colour, small head. Looks flat. A little malty. The alcohol stands out a bit, perhaps it is because of the combination with a hop flavour that is a little harsh. Mild carbonation, which I like. Good mouthfeel. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Jul 5, 2005 Updated: Mar 26, 2009Bottle. Amber in the glass with a loud off-white head. Sweet aromas of prune, raisins and a light floral background. The flavor found sweet malts with a light fruit undertone. Medium body and smooth. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA Jun 19, 2005 One of the most repeatedly drinkable beers I have ever encountered. Smooth and buttery in texture while remaining thinnish. Malty tones carry all the way through. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jun 15, 2005 Rating for Hacker-Pschorr Original Oktoberfest
A clear orange-bodied brew with a creamy, splotchy-tan head that turned chunky before dissipating. Malted aroma was bready with caramel, and the flavor was rather bittersweet... ending on the sweet side. A small hint of spiciness in the finish, but tasted like a typical dunkel.
