StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Dec 1, 2004 Well done. Nice rich malt taste and the hops and yeast go a long way too. Lost a little bit of carbonation near the end but it didn’t detract from the beer. Good, strong, slightly-bitter finish. I’d be content with one or many of these in one night. Also tastes better on tap. barleyandmalt (25), USA Nov 30, 2004 Updated: Mar 12, 2005Does not live up to Oktoberfests on even the American market. Far too much carmel and a maltiness that is reminiscent of malzbier(gag!). Still a decent brew if drank objectively. xray (50), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Nov 27, 2004 Nice and malty. This is even tastier than Paulaner’s Octoberfest. My favorite Martian. I mean Märzen. footy (334), scottsdale, Arizona, USA Nov 26, 2004 Bottled 500ml. Copper/orange with medium rocky head. Vanilla-Orange aroma. Medium bodied but with full flavor. Good malty fullness. Multiple tastings. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA Nov 25, 2004 This is the best Oktoberfest I have had to date. It was very nice with the Turkey especially. It had a good rum raisin taste which I really dug. I had it on tap once and didn’t like it. However I was pleased with it today. Good beer. SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Nov 24, 2004 Deep amber with a clear shiny body under a thick off white head.
Nice aroma of malt set everything up for a good flavor that is just sweet enough and in balance with the hops. One of the better Oktoberfests. The U.S. label is different that the one pictured, it has a checkerboard border. Nice. gsmitty80 (630), Washington DC, USA Nov 21, 2004 As my favorite style of beer i was pleased to try this beer recently. It exdceded my expectations for an oktoberfest beer and why not its truly German. I want to get a fresher taste sometime...which is my only withdrawl on a higher rating. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Nov 15, 2004 A rich amber gold appearance with a moderate head that quickly disappears. Slightly sweet with a touch of bitterness at the end. Overall, a smooth and very drinkable choice.
