Great looking pour, medium yellow with orange and a good sized white head. Malty aroma, almost a touch sweet, with some tinny hops. Taste is decent - yeasty, malty/grainy with a bit of yeast and even a little alcohol. Pretty refreshing. Nothing blew me away, but it was a solid beer. PaulHegedus (464), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada

This was amber with a small head in a German style beer mug. The aroma was of caramel with some subtle breadiness. I taste more caramel in the malt. daknole (2882), Plantation, Florida, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a yellow-apricot orange, with a small head. Aroma of German hops, malt, and caramel. Flavor is surprisingly tasty. It is a soft mixture of sweet malts with some toffee, butterscotch, and soil. Really nice. I have been looking for a quaffable Oktoberfest, and in Hacker-Pschorr, I think I’ve found it. jmm635 (254), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Pours an amber/red color with a nice white head. Typical octoberfest aromas of caramel, spices, but I think a little wheat. Flavor is mostly malts, specificially caramel. Smooth and drinkable with a clean, lasting finish. I definitely recommend. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Was looking for a marzen because of the season, this was recommended by the clerk of the local booze store. A really striking amber color with enough clearness to see every bubble rise to the half inch head. Very sweet malt aroma on this, candied malts. taste was a mild bitterness that does not offend and makes for easy drinking especially with such a light palate. I went out in search of pretzels to eat with my second bottle. Rciesla (3580), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 27, 2008 nice orange/amber color. The smell is typical Oktoberfest with Malt and Spices. Flavors were not quite as distinct and rich as I had hoped for, yet the malt does come through.
Overall a good and very drinkable beer, it is clean and smooth on the palate, with a clean after taste.
