Aroma of caramel malt and apple? Amber color with a white head that was respectable and laced in a mild way. A bit thin bodied, and mild, crunchy carbonation with apple flavor? Grape? Some kind of light fruit. Verly slightly sweet. Floral hop really makes this nice. It is just so clean and refreshing. Very tasty.

Botella. Clear amber, good fairly well lasting head. Aroma of toasty malt and caramel and some hops. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a mild sweetness with toasted malt, mild good hoppy bitterness, caramel and some fruit.

Draft in Florida. Poured a copper color with small creamy off-white head that was lasting. Good well balanced toasted aroma. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with an average finish. Good brew.

Warm golden with a nice head. The aroma has sweetness, malt, caramel and wild, sweet smelling flowers. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, caramel and sweet fruits/flowers, and the balance is quite nice.

A: The pour is a deep, dark copper color with a couple of fingers worth of off-white head. S: Lots of sweet and bready malts to begin with. Earthy hop notes along with a slight spice quality. I get nutmeg and all-spice for the most part, and there is a fair amount of yeast. T: The bread and hops are at the forefront. Semi-sweet malts along with floral and earthy hops. The bitterness is quite light, but a lot of the same spices that the nose had. M: Medium in body with a lively carbonation to it. Really refreshing, actually. D: Another top German tick, and it’s on the list with good reason. I liked this one quite a lot and will make sure to pick some up each year.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 Swing top bottle. Bought at De Man van Drank Leiden. One month past best before date. Amber color, dense head. Pear and just a touch of dust in the aroma. Malty but vinous beer. Raisin and hops in the background, even a touch of cinnamon. Butterscotch and some bitterness in the aftertaste. (6 3 6 2 11 = 2.8) A fresh sample bought in Nordhorn was much better. Loads of malt and toffee in the aroma. Medium to full bodied. malty sweet flavor, bready, cake, pear. Grassy hopbitterness in the aftertaste. Lovely well balanced beer.
