Warning! Early amateur rating! Juicy rich amber lager with a subtle fruit tone. Slightly bitter but very nice.

Warm golden with a nice head. The aroma has sweetness, malt, caramel and wild, sweet smelling flowers. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, caramel and sweet fruits/flowers, and the balance is quite nice.

Aroma of caramel malt and apple? Amber color with a white head that was respectable and laced in a mild way. A bit thin bodied, and mild, crunchy carbonation with apple flavor? Grape? Some kind of light fruit. Verly slightly sweet. Floral hop really makes this nice. It is just so clean and refreshing. Very tasty.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 Swing top bottle. Bought at De Man van Drank Leiden. One month past best before date. Amber color, dense head. Pear and just a touch of dust in the aroma. Malty but vinous beer. Raisin and hops in the background, even a touch of cinnamon. Butterscotch and some bitterness in the aftertaste.

A fresh sample bought in Nordhorn was much better. Loads of malt and toffee in the aroma. Medium to full bodied. malty sweet flavor, bready, cake, pear. Grassy hopbitterness in the aftertaste. Lovely well balanced beer.

Bottled. Light amber coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Sweetness, fruits and light rye bread in the aroma. Flavour is fruity and light flowery. Has a light spiced touch. Is medium bodied. Sweetish and light bitter end. Very good seasonal.

Draft in Florida. Poured a copper color with small creamy off-white head that was lasting. Good well balanced toasted aroma. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with an average finish. Good brew.

Bottle. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavour is dry malt, hop, hay, apple, roasted, caramel. OK beer, but nothing more.

Bottled, swing top, 500ml from Westholme Stores, Goring on Thames, Oxon. Copper with white head. I really quite enjoyed this marzen, fruity full bodied, soft and pulpy in character, some caramel without getting dry, a little sweetish, but not much in the way of hops. Quite reasonable.

Eindeutig eins der besseren Oktoberfestbiere. Süffig ist es natärlich, wie bei Bieren dieser Sorte kaum anders zu erwarten. Eine gut dosierte Herbe schwingt von Anfang bis Ende mit, ein malziger Unterton ist durchaus in einigen Teilen zu erschmecken. Ein wenig fehlt der Pepp jedoch schon, ich vermisse einen ausgereifteres Aroma. Irgendwie fällt mir zu diesem Bier das Wort "kernig" ein.

Crystal clear lager. The color is the very definition of amber. Medium-sized, fizzy, off-white head. I really like this Oktoberfest!
An entire hive of clover honey in the aroma. Lightly perfumey and smokey as well.
Well-balanced, malty brew with notes of caramel and honey with whispers of citrus fruit.
Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Crisp, clean finish.
