Nutty malt flavour, hints of caramel, smooth mouthfeel, and a clean finish. Not as good as the classic fest beer examples of Paulaner and Ayinger. NobleSquirrel (1122), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Bottle. Aroma is typical amber lager notes of caramel, clean yeastiness with a touch of Hallertau. Kind of reminiscent of normal Sam Adams. Decent Oktoberfest, though far from the best. ditmier (1122), Boise, Idaho, USA

pour is a clear light orange with a small off-white head, some lacing.
smell is faint, caramel, few hops, subtle malts, grain, touch of roasted nuts.
taste is crisp, light caramel, nutty, malts, ends dry and just a touch bitter. BREWMUSKCLES (1094), New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2008 dry with a nice smooth texture to the palate, would like to see a hint more carbonation. sweet and malty just barely nutty with a refined and mismatched hop profile in keeping with the style and therefore understood. just good for the style and maybe lacking that connotation for my type of brew sorry i am what i am. finish is busy but not intriguing. final bitterness that is just a bit too understated. Rather full in body for the style, not the best finish, but very good nonetheless. SubstanceT (1091), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA

Here at this one bar the only thing that they have that is slightly drinkable is this stuff. The only down side is that I have NO IDEA how long it has been in their fridge. In fact every bottle that I get from them has just a hint of funk to it? Maybe it was not stored correctly over the long time that they have had it in their coolers. But underneath there is definately something good. Hints of caramel and alcohol. The taste is smoothe with lots of malts. Pretty darn good I must say.
