1 year old 500 ml bottle from Munich, Germany. Poors an copper/browny clear with a quite thin white bubbly head. Aroma is sweet caramel, bread, cereal, with a pretty good lightly bitter aftertaste. Alcohol isn’t too present, and its light body but rich malty aroma makes an easy to drink beer. I enjoyed and recommand it!

Second Octoberfest beer I’m trying. Not my favourite style, I’ve read that exported beers (one I’ve drinked) are different from brewed for local market. Colour: dark red, clear. Foam: medium, solid. I’m not pro in tasting but I’ve found trouble in finding some hops in taste, just like pils but little bit stronger, with note typical for chech beers. To sum up: not bad but I’ll not dream about that beer.

Small bottle from Tipsy’s. Copper and clear appearance with an off-white head. Aroma of dark malts, toasted grains, light hops, toffee, light caramel and some yeast. Similar flavor, malty, creamy and smooth with mild sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Easy to drink, a solid rendition.

Clear, amber pour, staying foam. Classic aroma of autumn leaves in the brisk air, with a somewhat tinny but warm, hearth-like sweetness. Golden cereal grain, brown bread, crunchy toffee. Flavor is balanced, lightly sweet, cottony. Golden raisin, sweet nutty malts, somewhat papery with wooden earthiness for bitterness. Good and clean. Soft, crisp palate. The airy, fleeting sugars could gather more depth, but the clean, quenching finish is the payoff of this compromise.

Tap at Republic Seven Corners. Half liter glass to further the German Oktoberfest experience on a much smaller scale. Medium orange, copper. No finger head measurement necessary. There is none. Aroma is metallic and kind of offputting. Taste makes up for it slightly pushing its malty, biscuity agenda. It has a certain level of crispness that’s welcomed but unfortunately the taste cannot overcome the aroma. It’s probably one of the better Oktoberfest options in its prime but this one falls short of greatness in the style.

Caramel malt, slightly metallic aroma. Nice caramel appearance. Somewhat bitter neutral malt taste. Not a big fan.

50cl swingtop as fresh as it gets from Germany directly. Far away from Märzen type if you ask me. This is a traditional german lager, made to perfection. It is hoppy, malty , zesty, tangy, fizzy and what not. Superbly balanced ans is a pleasure to dringk. One of my favourite beers from Germany.

Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, small white head. Crystal malt aroma. Light body with not much of a flavor and and weak finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of malt, pours an amber colour without much head. Pleasant taste of malt and a hint of sweetness. Watery feel without much of an aftertaste.
