Bottle from a Munich supermarket. Cloudy brown. It is a very true to type Bavarian Hefeweisse, dyed brown. There is nothing wrong with this. But I am getting bored.

From 500 ml bottle. Pours a translucent Orange-brown with a fluffy lasting off-white head. Aromas of lemon, banana, hay and a touch of pepper. Taste is fresh banana at first before a crisp lemon and clove note in the mid-palate. Dissolves to light lemon and pepper at the back end with a spicy clove and cinnamon aftertaste. Enjoyed this.

Gut eingestellt. Ansonsten eher langweilig.

Hacker-Pschorr Sternweisse - Dunkelweizen (DE) - 5.5% - 3.7/5

Weizen glass on tap at Der Pschorr, Munchen. Dark orange color, cloudy, big persistent white head. Classic weizen aroma on the nose, as the classic one with a carammellish hue. Very good.

pours dirty medium dark golden with a small off-white cap, little retention and lacing. golden raisins, wheat, pepper, touch of honey and Brown sugar, fruitiness - diried and sweetened apricots, welcoming phénols - banans and cloves, touch of wheat acidity cutting through this light wort sugar presence. light carbonation, light body - oily, almost balanced grassy-herbal-peppery finish. more than decent.

Bottled. Poured mostly clear medium amber with a short toasted beige head. The aroma picked up mostly nutty and biscuity notes with accents of clove and cocoa.. warm and welcoming. The flavor found light cocoa, vanilla, and biscuity malts at the core, with tart, lightly bitter wheat and cloves around.. dry, tart, and a touch cola-ey on the finish. Light-medium bodied with prickly carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. this was aiight.

Nice dark orange-brownish color with tall foam. The aroma is a bit light, nothing very prominent in there. A bit of wheats and toffee, banana, a bit of freshness. The aroma is a little bit too light for my taste, but maybe it’s due to my nose being too busy with the environment (there?s quite a few people in here). The taste has bananas, toffee, caramel, yeasts - classic Dunkelweizen notes. Smooth carbonation. A decent, proper Dunkelweizen which gets better and better with every sip. I?d just call it "lecker". But I also have a predisposition for Dunkelweizen, which is one of my favourite styles.

Hacker-PSchorr Weizen is a really good hefeweizen and this is kind of like a lesser version of that, which is often the case w/ Dunkelweizens. It is a ruddy orange brown beer w/ a long lasting head of fine bubbles. It starts w/ a bit of banana on the nose and continues to some raisiny malt. Some sweetness and tartness once tasted gives this raisin note a bit of a vinous note along the lines of a port wine--albeit w/o any oxidized notes. This has a nice creamy palate appropriate to the style but is maybe just a touch too heavy to be really perfect. It finishes w/ some lingering sweet banana and bread yeast notes. This is a pretty tasty beer overall but I prefer my wheats lighter in texture, drier w/ a more vibrant yeast character.

This pours a semi-hazy, amber color with a thick, foamy beige head. The aroma is rich with wheat and citrus. The taste is smooth with a decent flavor and drinks quite nicely. Not overly complex, just a simple German weisse beer.

Bottle @ home. Hazed orange-amber pour with a white head. Smells of banana and toasted bread. Slight apple and lemon peel. A bit of golden raisin and berry. Flavor is lightly tart and yeasty. A lot of bread and banana juice. Somewhat doughy. Heavy on the fruity esters.
