Part of the Great Munich Beer Raid. 500 ML flip-top bottle in Germany. Clear yellow color with a small fast disappearing head, lots of carb action. Sweet aroma of malts and caramel with fruity notes. Taste of malts, corn and caramel. Hoppy Palate. Not well balanced.

11th June 2015: 500ml Flip-top bottle into a Wolnzacher Brauhaus ’Hopfenperle’ glass tankard at home. I figured a fest beer would want a proper glass to be drank out of, and one from it’s home city at that! Good looking brew, golden, clear and bright, the snowy white head as clean as the beers body. The aroma was a honey on brown bread sort of affair with more malts in the background. Taste was malt first and foremost, semi-sweet and again with honey notes coming through. Fairly dry with the finish getting drier. Bread notes also within the flavours: a very pleasant beer overall.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piana spora, znaczaca swoja obecnosc na sciankach w kuflu. Piwo o zlocistej barwie, srednim nagazowaniu. Slodowe delikatnie chmielnosc zadowalajaca. tresciwe. Nuty chlepowo biszkoptowe oraz oliwkowy zapach jakby sie nad kuflem unosil. Bardzo mnie to wszystko pozytywnie zaskoczylo. Polecam

Pours a large frothy white head atop a Amber body. Nose is bready. Tasty and refreshing but nothing extraordinary. If nothing else, it’s got a pretty label.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2015 500cc fliptop bottle. Pours golden yellow with white foamy head. The taste is malt and caramel first and then floral hops. Finish is bitter. Refreshing beer but nothing noteworthy.

Bottle kindly gifted from A friend. Overall nothing overwhelming. Standard german helles. Aroma of malt plus some citrus or floral hops, quite low but present. Taste pretty the same. Malt, floral hops, very refreshing. Clear golden color, white soapy head typical for this kind of industrial beer. Like ai said, drinkable, but now thing special at all.

bartlebier (2523) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - NOV 23, 2014
50cl fliptop bb07/2015. Caramelised grain wafts meet faint orchard and soothing generic "beer" smell. Taste sees a shy nuttiness, almond malts, some perceivable aroma hops as a counterweight. Short-lived juiciness. Drinkable autumnal Märzen/Festbier.

Couleur dorée, très légère mousse. Nez malté, orge, paille. Gout malt avec léger caramel et bonne amertume houblonné fraîche. Bon corps. Fin douce et note noisette.

Pours a clear straw with two fingers of fluffy white head diminishing gradually to a half finger cap, heavy lacing. Nose is sweet, bready and caramel malts, light fruit, and a little Hallertau hop. Taste is medium sweet and mild bitter. Light body, medium to high sustained carbonation, and a dry finish. It’s a pleasant-looking and light tasting beer, very German - though very much on the light side for a Märzen. As lagers go, fairly decent and drinkable.
