Cask by handpump at Cumberland Bar, Edinburgh (17 Feb 12) - clear golden ale with a small white head, musty vegetable flavour with an oily feel and bitter finish

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Light is certainly the word here – it pours crystal clear and very blonde, pretty much straw yellow. Clearly it’s not going to pound the palate – but not all beers need to. Biscuity malt on the nose, the flavours are delicate and extremely sessionable. Some light tropical fruit in there, slightly dry finish. A well-done session ale, no question – although by the very definition it does lack a little on the finish [18012012]

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a blonde colour with a thick white head. Aroma of lemon, yeast, pineapple, caramel and barley. Similar flavours. Quite biter with a dry finish. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.
