Dull clear golden pour covered by a diminishing off-white head. Rather dull and buttery, grainy nose with little substance to it. Minimal bitterness, quite sweet and almost worty. Fatiguing aftertaste of wet grapes. Very poor golden ale.

Cask at Cloisters. Orange-gold, persistent white head. Aromas of wood and bread, but a bit sickly. Bready flavours and a touch of bitter orange, but not much really going on there. Nice and smooth, though, if a bit bland.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. Very yeasty all round with a little bit of caramel malt. Quite a dry finish with mild carbonation.

First tasted this in the Three Judges, Glasgow in October 2003. Cask, handpump dispense. Floral hops noted in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with a slight note of redcurrant fruit. Strong peppery hop resins give a sharp metallic note to the aftertaste. Bitter sweet finish. An ok session blond but I would stick with SOB given the choice anyday.

Cask conditioned at The Olde Ship, Seahouses, Northumberland. Amber with white head. Malt bitter with a hint of tart fruitiness, perhaps unripe cherry, something similar to that. There is a light earthy hop note too. Ok really.

@ Cumberland, Edinburgh. Amber with stable, tight sparkler head. Wildflowers are in the mild aroma. A soft but oversparkled palate. The flavors are brilliant floral hops and lavender. Nice.

Golden amber. Spicy hop aroma is really appetizing. Light body, a little washy but the spicy hop notes are nice.

Pours amber with a white head. Taste is herbal, hoppy and dry straw/grass flavours. Pleasant bitter finish, a well made pint.
