COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional.
One of the original Border Brewery beers but continued to appear irregularly following the formation of the new company in 2000. Last seen in late 2008.
An old favourite. Golden bitter with complex hopping gives this beer a clean, refreshing taste with plenty of character.

Half pint real ale hand pulled at Malt and Hops in Leith. Golden-amber body with no head. Floral hoppy to the nose. Taste like fruitcake – a bit of malt and a bit of hoppy fruis. Rounded bitter support. Just a little more than average for a British golden ale [12.11.2008].

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Mild fruity hops aroma. Flavour is mild fruity too with a light sweetness going into a distinct smooth yet bitter and slight roasted note into finish. Mild roasted malty finish.
