A pale coloured thirst-quencher, using Maris Otter malt, wheat malt and an abundance of bittering and aromatic hops. Slightly creamy and easy to drink.

Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2013, day 3 - London. Pours clear gold with a slight, white foam head. Grainy pale malts in the nose, hints of dry orange. Light sweet flavor with fairly juicy citrus, some pale bread sugars. Light in body with fine carbonation; good condition. Nicely balanced to finish, with some orange, nips of mango, light grains, bitter hay. Solid.

Cask at The Bishop’s Mill (JDW), Durham, £2.05/pint. Pale, golden beer with slight lingering haze and cappuccino style, white head. Aroma is powerfully rural with grass, hay, earth, dirt and flowers. Malt and cereal dominate the flavour with a chunky biscuit finish and light floral hop notes that come into play more in the second half of the pint with dry, puckering mouthfeel. Pleasant and very easy to drink.

Cask pint, hand-pulled in a Alnwick pub on 23rd Oct 2014. Light golden body, clear and bright with a good white head that produced some heavy lacing. Mild nose of light malts and mini citrus hoppiness, dry finish to the taste that was an almost bland blend of not much. A bit thin and tasteless.

Cask Gosling Bridge Carlisle. Bittersweet malty beer, with an unusual background light smokiness. Well bodied, slight apple and pear flavours. Unusual but reasonable.
