Not to be confused with a real IPA but a pleasant, full and aroma-rich IPA-informed German Zwickl or, as the label says "Quad hop Craft Beer". Beautifully copper golden and cloudy, modest in ABV, brewed for drinkability, very up-front on the aroma hops (grapefruit, honey/peach, some pine) - not as smooth and sturdy as some of its US-examples, as it refuses to all come together in one taste - still somewhat unbalanced I suspect in the dry-hopping in relation to the malt brew, but far more convincing than some other inoffensive Pilsener-with-some-extra-fancy-dry-hops (e.g. Crew). Comparable to Propeller Aufwind, which adds a bit more power. - Interested how this compares to their larger-scale regular batch I just ordered. (9x33, will gladly trade with other German IPAs, APA, ImpStouts near D-79100)

Bottle (kindly delivered by Quack-Duck!): Cloudy, golden with an orangey sheen, stable white foamy layer, moderate to solid grapefruity and herbal hoppy nose; moderate to strong bitter-sweet flavour, soft to creamy, light to medium bodied; bitter-grapefruity finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The right stuff....

Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Aroma of floral hops, exotic fruits, grass and citrus fruits. Flavor of goose berries, hops, grass and some toffee notes. Nice aroma but the taste isn’t as good. Decent anyway.

Aroma is rather nice with fruity hops, pineapple, resin and hints of nettles. Flavour has goosebery bush, some caramel, pineapple and hints of resin. Slightly unpleasantly lingering hops in the aftertaste. Good.
I thought I bought the final version but it seems that I got this. I’m okay with that though.

Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a white head. Aroma is rather strong of floral hops and pungent citrus. A bit stuffy flavour of pale malts, strong floral hops, gooseberries, grass and juicy citrus. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a floral, lingering bitter and citrusy finish. NIce one.

Bottle #297 - Pours dark yellowish with a bubbly white head. Aroma of exotic fruity hops, hints of grass, resin and malts. Taste is fruity, bitter and malty with hints of gooseberries, resin and grassy hops. Finish is dry and bitter with some fruitness and resiny notes. Okay, quite tasty, although a bit dry and musty IPA.

33cl bottle. bottle # 413. Poured hazy dark orange with a thick white head. Hoppy., citrusy, exotic fruity aroma. Flavor is hoppy with pineapple, citrus and floral notes. Thin body, refreshing.

Zitrusmäßiger Geruch, Grapefruit und Mandarine. Beginnt sehr zitrusdominiert. Mittelteil Grapefruitnoten, leichte Säure. Klingt würzigbitter aus, überlagert von Grapefruitaromen/Mandarine. Schön.

Hopfig herber Antrunk, weich, rund. Dabei bleibt der Hopfen bei seiner Intensität, wird zum Ende allerdings etwas grasiger. Ein stimmiges bodenständiges IPA. 11/11/12/11/10/11

(bottle, 33cl, # 134, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Cloudy, yellow colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Fruity (citrus, grapefruit) and slightly piney hoppy aroma with notes of yeast and pale malt in the background. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost crisp carbonation. Delicate pale malt-character with yeasty spots and a good dash of fruity and slightly piney, resiny hops, lingering into the dry and mildly bitter fruity hoppy finish with a mineralic touch and notes of grapefruits in the finish. Very good, but I prefer the stronger version. 11.II.13
