Eins vorweg, das Aroma ist umwerfend. Denke Richtung Ananas und typischer Frucht. Geschmack hopfig und leicht bitter.

(33 cl bottle) Golden-yellow colour, hazy with small visible particles, beautiful big off-white foamy and partly creamy head. Aroma is very fruity, reminds me of papaya, melons, Kiwi, grapefruit, and a touch of grass. Mild cereal maltiness. Taste is only moderately bitter, with a light sweetness that underlines the fruitiness very well. Soft carbonation, medium body, smooth mouthfeel, long-lasting hop aroma on the palate, long finish. Delicious!

Had this at Cafe Brecht, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 30th September 2013 So chuffed with this place it is a bloody great little cafe, with a small but well chosen beer list, in fact really well chosen and changing weekly as well I’m told. Soft, slightly prickly hoppiness in mouth, bloody lovely, only 55 IBU which is fairly modest these days but its just right. Soft squishy citrus nicely bittersweet finish is quite long slowly drying towards end. Little pithiness, its a really, really nice beer. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov17 4.1

From bottle. Pours golden and hazy with small head which stays long. Aroma is fresh, contains grass, pine and herbs. In taste it is...incredible I would say. Nelson Sauvin is there but in a pleasant way. First time I’ve encountered this. It’s different, it’s really good. Try it if you can.

Quack-Duck (8434) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2012
bottle from the brewery. Hazy golden colour, mid-sized creamy white head. Lovely and intensive aroma of resiny-grassy-citrusy hops. Full-bodied, intensive malty base that brilliantly supports the delicious aromatic hops: grassy, resiny, herbal with a citrusy touch. Complex yet highly drinkable. Another winner from this superb brewery.

Bottle(moc děkuji, pane profesoře!): Hazy, pale golden, fluffy and stable and big head with a good lace, solid piney grapefruity and lemony nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and very smooth; lingering - as expected - grapefruity-tart finish, balanced by some pale malt. Chapeau, this brewer improves with every new brew…

2013-11-05, bottle from Rudat, Dortmund; bb 14.03.14, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Cloudy even after sitting in the cupboard for a month, with large and steady head. The aroma starts picking some rassy side, along with the light fruity and tropical presence, and a very light yeast pungency. I always love the lean mouthfeel of the Hopfenstopfer beers; delicate maltiness, with some cereals flavor; strong but balanced bitterness, with moderate citrusy and fruity character.
Very nice beer, easy to drink in every occasion, for an unbeatable price.

2013-10-03, bottle from Rudat, Dortmund; bb 14.03.14, 8-4-7-4-16=39
Hazy to cloudy deep blond color with a light green hue; large and persistent head. Very nice aroma, fresh and fruity; hint of spicy yeast. The body is lean, the mouthfeel is dry, strong carbonation, with a strong spicy yeast character, citrusy hop resins, and final astringency.

Bottle: Aroma has fruity honey notes, spices, resin. Hazy yellow color, foamy white head. Flavor is malty, light to medium sweet with honey, resin and a medium bitterness. Dry finish.

Nice, deep, clear golden color (I left the thick yeast depot in the bottle). Fine, but quickly disappearing head. Full aroma in the nose, lots of fruit and a hint of honey. Rich, fruity taste, changing to a remarkable bitterness and a long finish. Good stuff.

Very misty golden greenish body and small bubbly yet stable head. Very fresh hops, mint almost. Fresh mandarin zest, mango and a hay like underpinning that give this beer the actual edge over so many other hoppy brews nowadays. Full bodied mouth feel, original zesty bitterness and even lemony. Almost lime pale ale like, however with a spot on malt base and characterful yeast presence. Lager light cleanness even in the start of the taste, but a lasting bitterness profile. Very good, very fresh, moderate abv and great summer beer. Best from the brewery so far, I think! (33cl bottle from La Cave à Bulles, thanks for the import ;)
