3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20
Still an excellent example of a Premium Australian lager. When it was first produced it was a great hit because Australians had little exposure to full flavoured and aromatic beers such as Stella Artois, Pilsneer Urquell etc. and this was a new taste experience. However since then the market in Australia has been flooded with imports and Hahn Premium has tended to disappear off the radar of the increasingly sophisticated Australian drinker.

Bottle and Draught. This is just another PL without much to it. Pretty straightforward boring beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Orange-gold in colour with a temporary white head that left a spiderweb of lace down the glass. Coarse carbonation and plenty of it. Flavours of dryish malt and low bitterness, not a great else. Aroma is probably the star of the show where noble hop varieties predominate. Not the worst beer I’m ever likely to drink and a far cry from the best. Just. A. Bit. Average.

Try to figure it out!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a pale golden color with a decent head that fades to bits of lacing. Mild aroma of malt, some fruit and grain. Taste of mild malt sweetness, trace of fruit and grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Light body, smooth and a bit refreshing. Not a bad beer for what it is, another Euro Lager in an ocean of lager beers.

Pours a nice amber colour, head doesn’t hang around too long. First taste a nice mild good hop taste pleases me. Conservative in flavour , but clean and refreshing. Hard to find this beer now in Melbourne. Other Hahn beers not as good.

Bottle. Another ordinary pale lager. It’s drinkable and better than a few others out there, but not as good as it used to be.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
On tap at the Perth Oval April 2012. Pale gold with plenty of fizz and served very cold. Light, hay aroma, leading to sweetish flavour and short, bitter finish. Poor.

Bottle 33 cL @ Singapore Airline Lounge at Melbourne Airport. Pours clear pale golden with a nice white head. Aroma is weak to medium malty, sweetish, fruity, straw and spicy. Flavor is OK, a bit sweet and fruity with some bitterness. Finishes bitter hoppy.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle - Pour pale yellow with a thin white head. Grassy hops with some cardboard aroma. Dry up front but it fades quickly and the finish is quite mild.
