Tap at Brauerei Gasthof Lohhof. Golden, lacing white head on pearling carbonation. Creamy foamy mouthfeel, full chewy body. Fat malt base, grain, hay and dry leaves in abundance, salty metallic edge, plentifull grassy hop counterpoint. Great balance and quite moreish.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts malty and sweet, quite strong. More and more moldy, wheaty, somehow unbalanced. Finish still sweet-malty. Not too drinkable. A bit strange.

500 ml bottle in Germany with much thanks to Jonas. Pours a deep golden color with soft fast to go white head.Aroma is a trick sweet malt and fruity mix. Taste is really spicy for a Märzen, with nice fruit and malt coming through. Palate is baby smooth. A very nice beer.

From tap at Brauerei Gasthof Lohhof. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is cornish and malty, slight more grassy hops aroma. Sweet malty, a bit more body than the helles. Bitter and slight grassy finish. Ends dry and yet malty.

(bottle) A bit unclear, golden colour with a rocky white foamy head. Moderately sweet and distinctively grainy malty aroma with slightly flowery and herbal hops. Sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Grainy malty taste with shy notes of biscuits; medium-dry, malt-accented finish with a light floral and herbal hoppy touch. 16.IX.09

Bottle (Dank an den Bodensee!): Golden, a bit unclear, rocky white head; moderate sweetish-grainy nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; faint almondy traces in the sweet-grainy finish. Quite O.K. , but there are better beers from Haimhausen..........

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. Clear golden. Salty fruity nose with notes of crackers, chlorine, figs, orange, fennel and caramel. Sweet malty taste. Low carbonation and bitterness. Slightly metallic. Average- like the Haimhauser Dunkles Kellerbier. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!
