500ml bottle from somewhere in London, no idea where, really no where idea. Dark brown clear with a thick beige head. Bit sweet. It’s ok. Light drinkable enough. Some milk choc. Fine. Ok. Not a huge amount of character, a bit of nuttiness. It’s fine. Remembered I got this from Bottle Shop in Canterbury.

It’s dark mahogany with a creamy, lasting head. The aroma has notes of dark syrup, caramel, roasted malt and a touch of nuts. The moderately sweet flavor has notes of dark syrup, burnt sugar, caramel and roasted malt with a touch of nuts. The finish is fairly roasted and a little dry.

Geruch hefig, moderat malzschokoladig. Beginnt hefemalzig. Mitte schokoladig. Würzmalziger Abschied. Geht so. Für meinen Geschmack fehlt es an Dichte.

Idiosynkrasie (1838) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 26, 2012
500ml bottle. Clear mahagoni colour with average, macropore to frothy, off-white head. Moderately sweet dark malty aroma, bread, a touch of hazelnut. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally sweet caramel undertones, a nuttily touch. Lively carbonation strengthens the dry notes, adds a mineralic, almost metallic touch.

Bottle 50cl from Quack duck thanks. A dark amber beer with low head and nose. Aroma is on caramel, grain, brown bread, light diacetyl, light apple touch. Finish is slightly metallic with a small sourness, hints of smoked notes.

Bottle, bought @ Edeka Allershausen. Pours nice clear chestnut with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma has nuts, caramel, earthy and light grass. Highish carbonation, fairly dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour has dry, light dusty caramel, nuts, Nutella. Fairly good malty bitter finish.

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 11/2012)
Clear deep nut brown color, small off-white head. Bottle was a bit of gusher. Nutty maltyness, caramalt, notes of plastic in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, nutty hoppyness, some yeasty notes. There is whiff of tartness in the nose and flavor. Standard German dunkel.

jookos (761) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 1, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown-mahogny, clear. A weakish nose of slightly roasted malts, some burnt wood, hazelnuts. Well carbonated (will slowly gush over if bottle is left unpoured after opening), medium-light body, caramels. A touch of soft .. dark candi, with a cleansing herbal bitterness. Quite nice, not overly malty, or roasted, or caramelly. A dunkel with a sting to it, unlike the soft velvety czech ones.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Very deep ambery brown colour, witha big foamy beige head. Aroma is mild roasted malts, toffee, caramel, some quite strong nuttyness as well. Flavour is roasted malts, some nuttyness, toffee, mild herbal and some slight caramel and bitterness in the finish as well. Really pleasant. Smooth, slightly tonguetickling carbonation.

Bottle, a gush, like most of theirs, really. Light dark malt nose, pours dark ruby with a fizzy tan head. Light body, taste lightly. sweet with some roast and very mild fruit.
