Bottle 500ml. @ home.

ABV: 5.2%. Gusher !! Unclear medium to dark amber - red brown color with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, oxidide notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, bread, malty, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131214]

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, chestnut brown. Thin, tan head. Red fruit aroma. A little caramel. Taste has light, toffee sweetness. Dry finish. A little welcome bitterness, too. Close to it’s BB date, which is evident. (Dave let me have it cheap, though!).

Hazy brown, tan head. Malty sweet, rich. Cereals. I’d like more dry hoppiness, this is too kvass-like.

5.2% bottle. Clear deep amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp and semi dry. Light malt, a touch dry. Little caramel. Whisper of dried fruits. Light semi dry finish. A bit dull, probably one of those that really needs to be drunk fresh and close to the source to get anything out of it.

unfiltered dunkel kellerbier, slight grainy nose with little else, very little body for a beer of 5.2%,taste slightly sweet with a faint sourish flavour, little if any finish taste goes one of the poorest german biers i have tasted excluding the mass market pap exported like furstenburg and becks

Bottle from Beer Hive [260513]
Caramel amber, quite hazy, gushed a lot on opening, off white head dissipated to a thin white rim
Aroma - Caramel malts, brown nutty malts, dab of raisin, little hops, ’beery’ yeast aroma
Taste of caramel malts, yeasty, some brown bread, dab of dark fruits, toasted brown malts, quite a malty beer, not much hop flavour - hint of cereal hop
Palate - Gusher so almost no carb left, medium body, quite smooth. Finish as main flavour, soft yeast, brown malts, quite nutty
Overall - Shame it gushed, quite a decent malty brown ale

500ml bottle from somewhere in London, no idea where, really no where idea. Dark brown clear with a thick beige head. Bit sweet. It’s ok. Light drinkable enough. Some milk choc. Fine. Ok. Not a huge amount of character, a bit of nuttiness. It’s fine. Remembered I got this from Bottle Shop in Canterbury.
