3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Allen (2469) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 15, 2009
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. It pours a hazy nut brown beer with a dissipating beige head. Sweet malty nose with hints of butter, smoke, carrot, honey and fruit. Some roasted malt in the taste which is accompanied by banana, carrot and smoke. Low bitterness. Light bodied. Not much carbonation. Some astringence. A bit flat and watery. Mediocre lacework. Hints of tar and walnuts in the finish. Good. I like the tar characteristic- a bit too subdued to my liking though. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!
