bottle, bought at the brewery. Cloudy golden colour, large and creamy white head. Aroma of banana and wheat. Wheaty and yeasty with nice malty flavours. Hints of banana and vanilla. Very shy and well balanced hoppy flavours tune in during the lingering finish. A spicy and really delicious Hefeweizen.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest malty-yeasty, not too dry. Fruity like peaches, not too sweet. Mild finish, quite drinkable. Nice!

From tap at Brauerei Gasthof Lohhof. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrusy and wheaty, light estery. Distinct citrusy flavoured. Mild wheaty and estery too. Ends citric and dry estery. Somewhat unusual.

(bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a slightly off-white and non-persistent frothy head. Sweet and wheat-malty aroma with a distinctively banana-fruity touch and notes of vanilla in the background. Mildly sour and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly yeasty, banana-fruity, also minimal vinous taste with a present wheat-character; slightly sour and fruity, again slightly vinous finish with a tinge of clovy spice and hoppy bitterness. Balanced Weizen. 30.IX.09

Bottle (Dank in den Schwarzen Wald!) Hazy, golden, big fluffy off-white head; citrussy-wheaty nose (lemon peel, too); moderate sourish-sweet flavour, a little hoppiness detectable as well, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering bitter-sourish, wheaty as well, finish. O.K. ......
