On tap at the tasting room. Apparently this version is Adam aged in bourbon barrels for three years. Pours black, like normal Adam, with small khaki head. Aroma is smooth dark chocolate, dark fruits, tobacco, cherry, some slight oxidation. The overall character of the aroma is aged beer, not so much barrel influence as one would expect from a barrel aged beer that has been resting this long. Not as much bourbon either, chocolate is the main component of the aroma. Flavor is a deep, smooth milk chocolate. Super creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. This is definitely a different beer than both Adam and Cherry Adam. I’m not sure I like it more than either of those but this is still excellent.

12oz bottle 2014 release thanks to Prufrockstar- nutty upfront with some latent bourbon. Complex and earthy as the others. Flat too. Sweet to the lips. Boozy on the finish.

Bottle. Deep mahogany / brown pour with very minor head. Ungodly aroma - dark fruit, wood, bourbon, vanilla. Similar taste. Could use a little more carb. This is great.

Hair of the Dog, Portland. 2014 vintage bottle at the brewery, tasted side by side with the 2015 rye barrel Adam. Great sweet bourbon and vanilla aroma. Alc, syrup, maple. Vanilla extract. Warmer fruit, wood, oil, bright bourbon. Rich, clean. Tiramisu. Lighter weight. Rich, aromatic. Tons of bright bourbon.

Way to expensive, but besides that, this one is one to really enjoy. What a nice full taste, so much going on in every drop of this brew.
