22 bomber, poured a hazy amber with some off white head. Faint aroma of citrus. Pretty mild taste that had some floral and citrus tones. Bitterness was pretty mild as well. Body felt a bit light for an Imperial, alcohol also felt a bit light for an Imperial.

On tap @ HotD. Pours cloudy amber orange with very thin head. Aroma is pale malt and big resinous hops. Taste is light pale malt that is quickly dominated by sizable hops: notes of floral pine and grapefruit. More on the fresh hop DIPA scale rather than the syrupy heavy ones. Quite nice for what it is. Somewhat hard to find fresh, you gotta grab it when you see it.

On tap at Hair of the Dog brewpub in Portland. Hazy golden brown pour with off white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine. Mildly bitter with grapefruit flavors. Lots of flavor. A nice IPA.

A great DIPA: my girlfriend hates bitterness in beers but loved this. It’s a cloudy, dark pour on draft- likely due to the high SG and could benefit from some finings. However, is reminiscent of real ale, and smells hoppy, malty, and amazing. Flavor is big, sweet, and hoppy with a smooth, even finish. Well balanced and full-flavored.

On tap @ Hair of the Dog, Portland. Pours hazy golden with a finger thick head. Aroma is hoppy with pine, orange peel and mango. Full creamy body with soft carbonation. Flavour is bitter with pine and grapefruit, giving a long bitter grapefruit and lemon peel finish.

Looks like plum juice. Very cloudy like unfiltered juice. Nose is very juicy. Simcoe and galaxy come to mind. Taste is mineral full bodied mouthfeel lots of champagne like characteristics. Grapefruit juice. Very nice acidity and clean finish. I quite like this one. Very close to hill farmstead abner.

1/15/2012. On tap at the brewery in Portland. Dark amber color with a white head. Malty aromas with caramel, pine and citrus. Great balance and complexity. Finishes strong with lots of hops.

12 oct 2013, bottle. Murky orange. Didn't realize I needed to be careful for sediment. Nose is rye malt and pine hops. Sugary rye malt and piney hops, mild alcohol. Pretty decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2013 This is only for the summer 2013 release-------& believe this batch is infected. Hair of the Dog is one of my favorite breweries. Blue Dot is a very good Double IPA. The summer 2013 release, at least in Seattle stores, should not be purchased. I believe the batch is infected. It is very dark, cloudy, little to no carbonation, and extremely off balance. Double IPA?s are typically acidic but this one tastes, looks, and smells like a spoiled grapefruit mixed with a cloudy english cask cider mixed with butter. This is my first ever pour out beer. I don?t pour out beers, I just stop drinking them and hope one of my friends decides to finish it. I don?t know what happened. This is only for the summer 2013 release-------&
