crizay (1056), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Feb 27, 2008 Hazy golden orange pour, small bubbly white head that stays. Aroma is delicious, melon, orange, slight grapefruit, peach, pine and mango. Flavor is orange, grapefruit, and some melon. Big resiny bitterness to this killing off the flavors I loved so much in the aroma. Medium bodied and smooth creamy mouthfeel but there is just so much resin to it. Some more peach and melon finish it out but still get round housed by the Resin. I really want to like this beer and I do but I don’t love it.
fizl (10), Springfield, Oregon, USA May 10, 2008 Brewed in Portland, Oregon. Brewed with organic pilsner malt, rye malt and intense hop varieties and has an ABV of 7%. This is a very interesting IPA. The aroma tips off with sweet spicy malt and citrus notes followed by crazy intense herbal grassy fragrances. Pours a beautiful straw body that has a cloudy haze too it that’s reminiscent of a heffeweizen. Slowly, it then manifests a frothy beige head. Fantastic taste! Begins with a malty zip that is soon overwhelmed by a barrage of bitter hoppy arsenal. There is a definite hop domination, but somehow it still finishes smooth without too much of a lingering bitterness. This full bodied beer has a thick mouthfeel that is bold all the way down. Overall, it rocks ass. Love the rich complexity and kickin hops. 17thfloor (444), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 8, 2008 Thanks BottleTrek! Excited... a double IPA with malted Rye and at only %7 it must be very drinkable... so lets see: The liquid inside looks very murky as light wont shine thru it. Pop the cap and immediately from a foot away I get a whiff of pineapple. Pours murky faint orange golden with no real head... looks like pineapple juice. Super sweet pineapple aroma! First taste is not nearly as sweet as the aroma... much more low key bitterness, smooth and slightly waxy. Soft peach flavor with lots of citrus/grapefruit in the finish. 100 IBU’s are nowhere to be found in this, just kidding they get you in the aftertaste. The rye seems to be missing though. Palate is smooth with hardly any carbonation. Nice weight to the body, not sticky or too light. Very juicy. Bragesnak (748), Aarhus, Denmark May 4, 2008 From LIC, Aarhus, DK.

Grapefruit bitterness and aroma. Alcohol present but swamped by a malt sweet body el_caballo (85), Beverly Hills, California, USA May 2, 2008 Aroma is hops with a little rye...apperence ugh mudy orange with some sediment (perhaps a bad pour)...a nice solid mouthfeel,, intial taste is delicous hops umm. but i am really wishing for some more bitterness at the end of this beer...not bad but dont think ill buy it again Hank1980 (217), Athens, Georgia, USA Apr 20, 2008 22oz bomber. Poured cloudy amber with a decent-sized head. Aroma of hops, citrus, rye, and some faint alcohol. Also some floral hops present. Taste is also very heavy with citrus and rye malt. Malt much heavier than most IIPAs. Finish and taste are somewhat dry. Mouth is pretty full. Not a bad IPA.
