Very weird beer, one that makes you think twice before realizing it is quite fantastic. Really weird. Tap at Borefts

Draught at BBF’15. Dark ruby with a small slightly off-white head. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Quite sour with subtle sweet and bitter tones. Ripe red fruits, vinegar and herbs. Nice sour brew.

15cl taster at Borefts Bier Festival, Bodegraven (as brandy cherry Michael). Deep ruby red colour, cloudy, no head. Porto tones dominate the nose. Taste is big on porto too, but nicely balancing the cherry, sour and sweet malty Flemish red tones; lightly bitter, some vanilla cask-ness. Lingering fruity, oak aged finish, with a nice alcoholic warmth. Big body, low-no carbonation. Very complex.

Ow, I did not like this one at all. I can imagine some will love this sour brew, but I had problems to even finish it while seeing so many more tastefull brews passing by.

On tap at Borefts. Very sour cherry aroma. Dark pink/red with no head. Flavor was sharp, fiery, sour cherry, and port, with a smooth mouthfeel. More like a cherry brandy than a beer.

drank at Borefts 2015. as ’Brandy cherry Michael’ guess this is a new entry, but all other BBF entries were put here so I follow until guided differently. Pours dark, redbrown. Small white head. Taste is sour, bit oak, cherry. slightly off-aspects to me ( that plastic-like taste)

Tap @ Borefts ’15. Hazy dark amber to ruby colour with a small beige head. Smells cherry, wine, oak, tannines. Tastes cherry peel mostly, slightly earthy, sourish, intense. Full body, soft carbo.

On tap Borefts 2015. Dark red lasting beige head. some cherry vinegar. Quite sour. Some cherry. Too vinegary. Without being characterful enough. OK.
