UPDATED: FEB 8, 2004 2001 vintage Thanks to MilkManDan for this! Reddish orange with a foamy tan head. Nose is hops, malt, and fruit. The taste has definite alcohol notes, sugar, some hop chracter and more fruit. Very smooth drinking beer especially after aging this long. Fruity and sweet finish. Awesome!

2002 vintage Another ULTRA foamy and carbonated Hair Of The Dog brew. Pours red-orange with a tall faomy tan head. The nose has almost a berry aroma mixed with some malt, sugar, and light hops. The tongue is met with an abundance of hops, spice and a hint of malt. The berry-ish aroma is nowhere to be found in the taste. Even at over a year old, this is still hoppy and a little harsh during the finish. The alcohol is not very noticeable. This could have stood to age another year or two, at least. Still good, but young.

Bottle, 2002 vintage, from Brouwers. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Smells of prune, flowers, orange peel vanilla and a hint of spice. Tastes of an exquisitely forward-hopped prune and cherry, with a medium sweetness counter. Texture is syrupy. Full bodied. Medium carbonation. Finishes with a beautiful spice bouquet. This has aged very well, and I’m happy to have had the opportunity.

A great beer at ten years old. It would not have held up much longer as there was already signs of oxidization.

Bottled. An unclear red-brown beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as a bit of oxidation, leading ot a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear amber/golden - white head. Sharpness, nutty, amber malts, fruity, light oxidation, roasted, ryebread, light licorice, light roasted, sweetness, dried fruits, caramel. Nice.

Bottle at Papsø. Hazy orange red coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, dried fruits and berries with oxidized notes. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits and hops. Sweet and hoppy finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is wooden, dark malty and caramelish. Slight cheesy. Roasted malty, breadish and dense caramelish. Bitter and fruity finish. Lingering dark malty finish.

2002 botle at papsoe tastig. cloudy orange, smooth offwhite head. nice slightly oxidized bw aroma. flavor is malty, dusty, nice flowery note, sort of woody bitterness. nice. still goig strong after 9 years.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of ditmier. Vintage 2002. Pours an almost clear amber with a small off-white head. Nose has bonbons, sweet caramel and a very oxidized touch. Medium body, nutty and salty - again fairly oxidized. The hops are not overly aromatic after all these years but they still leave a solid bitterness. 150311

beautiful dark amber color, with excellent head. Lots of cherry, sherry, butterscotch, nuttiness, a bit a oxidization, but incredible depth. Hops still shine. Well balanced. Superb.

2002 12oz from Brouwer’s stock in Seattle. Remarkably spritely. Foamy head on a caramel pour. Lighter shade than the ’08 bottle we opened next to it, and tasted stronger and a bit hotter. Really great.
