larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Mar 30, 2008 Bottled.
Hazy amber with a small off-white head.
Sweet and grassy, hoppy aroma.
Oily palate with loads of sweet maltiness and grassy, fruity hops. bp (451), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 28, 2008 Bottle (07): pours a light, cloudy orange with a thin, white head, aroma of hops and citrus, taste is grapefruit and hops, finsih is dry with a subtle sweetness, this is a very nice barley wine. Glad I have two more of these aging for later. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Mar 28, 2008 Thanks to Ramenen. Bottle 2007: Great complex and strong character, full of flavour and aromar. Hops, floral, citrus, matly, and a light honey lining. Great! Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Mar 28, 2008 Bottle. Bought it a NBD in NYC. Pours into a deep golden color with an explosive aroma of various citrus. Thick, heavy body, very fruity, floral, and sweet, delicious honey undertones. chimplechamp (463), Oslo, Norway Mar 27, 2008 pours brown really cloudy, smells brandy and honey, and apple, some bread to and tobacco. tastes same, sticky mouthfeel really amazing stuff. with loads of complexity. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Mar 23, 2008 Orange/amber pour with no head. Big, spicy alcoholic malt nose. Spicy malt flavor, too, with a dash of added honeyed sweetness. Mildly astringent yet syrupy on the palate. Wow. Excellent. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 21, 2008 This was a bottle of 2007 version,it was still very raw or imature but with ageing it would be excellant,it was a hoppy and sweet tasteing beer with a hot and bitter ending, this would be much better in 2 years but i could not wait.CHEERS! t4h2c0 (80), seattle, Washington, USA Mar 17, 2008 Seems to vary quite a bit from year to year. I’ve had it out of vintage bottles that did not age well and some that did age well. Anything before 2003 seems a bit funky. Hoppy for a barleywine. Easy drinker that will warm you up fast!! Consistency is a problem here, past few years seem to be similar though. good beer.
