Commercial Description:
Doggie Claws has a deep copper color and an intense hop character. I use Simcoe and Amarillo hops along with Organic Pilsner malt, British crystal and dark wild flower honey collected on Mt. Hood. The beer is ready to drink now but will improve with age. Happy Holidays from the curs at Hair of the Dog. - Alan Sprints, Brewmaster

Bottle courtesy of Hogtown Harry - thanks Harry! This thick, luscious concoction has a wonderful floral aroma and a complex taste I can hardly appreciate. It’s fruity and strongly herbal with a sweet finish accented with a strong bitterness. I definitely feel the warmth with this one

Bottled. Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Sweet and grassy, hoppy aroma. Oily palate with loads of sweet maltiness and grassy, fruity hops.

Bottle (07): pours a light, cloudy orange with a thin, white head, aroma of hops and citrus, taste is grapefruit and hops, finsih is dry with a subtle sweetness, this is a very nice barley wine. Glad I have two more of these aging for later.

Bottle. Bought it a NBD in NYC. Pours into a deep golden color with an explosive aroma of various citrus. Thick, heavy body, very fruity, floral, and sweet, delicious honey undertones.

Orange/amber pour with no head. Big, spicy alcoholic malt nose. Spicy malt flavor, too, with a dash of added honeyed sweetness. Mildly astringent yet syrupy on the palate. Wow. Excellent.
