| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Seems to vary quite a bit from year to year. I’ve had it out of vintage bottles that did not age well and some that did age well. Anything before 2003 seems a bit funky. Hoppy for a barleywine. Easy drinker that will warm you up fast!! Consistency is a problem here, past few years seem to be similar though. good beer. ekstedt (2419), Göteborg, Sweden

Intense fruity malt aroma, with peaches and floral hops. Heavy body, smooth mouthfeel. Well balanced with a long bitter finish. gnoff (3560), Göteborg, Sweden

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Bottle. Hazy orange/amber color, nice creamy beige head. Hoppy, grassy aroma, perfume, malt, floral notes, fruity, some pineapples. Fruity flavor, but also quite alot of grass, creamy, caramel, raisins, some perfume notes. Maybe not 100 percent true to its style, but still a great beer. Furseth (1328), Kungälv, Sweden

Aroma of lots of hops, flowers, citrus, and a fruity nose in the end. (Smels mor than a IPA than a Barlywine) Flavor is almost the same here, medium body, and a nice medium fruity finsh. Nice!! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 14, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured murky copper with a thin rim of a beige head. Some good lacing was left on the snifter. Nose was very hoppy, much more than expected. Brew was balanced perfectly with the sweet caramel malts that Barley Wines are known for . gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a murky caramel. Some sediment. No head or lacing at all. Something went wrong with the cap via transport to me. Some pleasant caramel, floral hops, chocolate, and raspberry in the aroma. Acidic hop flavors, caramel, molasses...Bitter finish. Damn near impossible to drink though, will certainly update once I get a good bottle. scrizzz (1263), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Updated: Jul 22, 20092007. 031108 heavy murky brown, sediment near the bottom of the glass looks frozen in time. creamy contrasting white head. oak, vanilla and alcohol nose. hurrah! richly sweet milk caramel jumps off onto the lips and tip of the tongue, met with fig, raisin and cherry cobbler, slowly met by soft crisp hops.
2007 072209 Orange peel aroma with some wet cardboard. Good, but seems flat on character. Little burn in the finish, sticky sweet and no noticeable hops. This wouldn’t yield a 4 from this bottle.
