Bottle shared by Crosling, thanks a lot man. Poured a thick, golden-copper color with a moderate off-white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of smooth caramel, light tobacco and vanilla, and some moderate flowery hops. Flavor consists of a nice woody caramel malts leading into a spicy tobacco flavor mixed with some moderate hop bitterness with some flowery, earthy quality, and a nice vanilla-oak finish. Smooth and full on the palate with a nice drying oak finish. Big thanks to Nick for sharing this bad boy.

Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Lightly hazy amber color with a persistent thin white layer of foam. Rich, sweet caramel malts lay over some hops that are earthy but still have a nice PNW spiciness. Taste is a nice mix of viscous sweetness and earthy hops with a slight tannic note on the finish. Very well balanced and the alcohol never gets in the way.

Bottle from Joey at South Bay drugs. Poured with a rigorous amount of white fluffy foam as the liquid itself was a glowing orange color full of sediment. Nose is a freshly cut oak aroma and besides that smell, is hard for me to define other than that. Texture is very fine with a creamy smooth palate as the carbonation is very subdued. The flavor is a tangy tasting of spice and fruit with apricot or peach being the obvious example. Also shares some flavors with honey or nectar that is drowned in natural sugars. It leaves behind a slight aftertaste of wood but oddly enough it practically goes unnoticed.

Bottle. Thank you EyeDrinkAle for sharing this sweet ass beer. 2007 vintage. Pours a orange body with no head. Aroma and flavor is sweet vanilla, oak and lots of bourbon. The etoh was the perfect start to rehydrating myself after being lost in queens for an hour. Great Beer, thanks Mike!

a strange but enjoyable cheesey aroma, tripple cream perhaps, also vanilla oak and brown sugar. great rich mouth feel and flavor to match the aroma with the wood amplified, complex and engaging. maybe it would be better with age but i would not call it hot, maybe a little warm

Tasting at JoeMcphee’s. I would love to try this beer gain after letting it cellar for a few years. Very good, but a little too sweet and hot. Also too thick and syrupy. Well now, wasn’t all bad.. On the upside, I enjoyed the woody oak that jumps off your palate. Toffee, maple, sweeeet malt, oak, caramel, vanilla.
