Clear sparkling amber body. Incredibly dense craggy mountainous layered khaki head. Piquant hop aroma. Very creamy texture. Wow. Incredibly rich flavor. Spicy and warm up front. A lot of malt; caramel. Sturdy hop backbone. Wood notes in the middle. Awesome beer, quickly becoming one of my favorite styles.

Aroma is quite sweet with a surprising amount of yeasty, funky sourness that stings the nostrils. Flavor is definitely very interesting as well. At times it seems very candy sweet, at times it is incredibly dry and bitter. Very fruity. Cranberry. The finish is really interesting, very dry and spicy. It really attacks the tongue. Very strong beer.

Nice hazy gold color with a creamy white head. Strong aroma, mostly sweet malt, but some nice apple, lemon and peach as well. Flavor is made up of a sweet fruit, rock candy, and nice bit of citrus/floral hops. Pretty potent stuff. Smooth, full mouthfeel. Very good overall.

Pours a hazy body with a thin white head. Aroma is lemony. It almost reminds me of a sour but with a little more malt to it. I rather like it. Flavor is much like the aroma. It is quite sweet. Probably sugar cane. However, there is a nice sour character to it. It is certainly a nice take on the barley wine style. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Good beer.

Batch 72. Pours orange with a thin off white head. Sweet malt aroma with caramel and candy sugar. The flavor has dark fruits, sweet caramel, candy sugar, and just a touch of floral hops. Smooth and enjoyable. 7/3/8/4/16
Batch 63 Pours red amber with an off white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma. The flavor is malt dominated and lightly sweet with caramel, a hint of toast and toffee. 7/3/7/4/15
I prefer the balance of a fresher batch.

Clear orange-red pour with a thin white head. Fruity malt aroma, caramel and peach. Roasty flavor with sweet fruit and caramel. Smooth. Hides its alcohol well. Hoppy finish.

Aroma of alcohol, apples, lemon rind, and brown sugar - but it can barely get up through the thick frothy white head. It was hard to pour, it bubbled up very quickly. A cloudy yellow color. Flavor of more alcohol, spicy cloves, some subtle grapefruit hoppiness, and loads of sour yeastiness right at the end. Almost too harsh - this is a big beer, but I think it works okay. It may need to be aged a little while longer. Batch 73.
