Jul 29, 2008 Updated: Nov 18, 2008Bottle, batch 70 Pours a deep orange with a gorgeous thick light tan head. Aroma of sweet fruits, candi sugar. Flavor of initial hops bitterness, followed by a sweet, fruity finsih. Lots of citrus and tropical fruits, lemon, melon rind, pineapple, lime. Nice mild, bitter hops balance the sweet fruits. Alcohol warmth in the throat but no alcohol presence in the taste. WOW, this is an excellently constructed beer and so tasty in the mouth. This beer is top-notch and the by-far best barleywine I’ve ever had.

Jul 29, 2008 (USA) Pours a hazy orange color with lots of carbonation, sediments, and a sm-foamy white head. The aroma is of brown sugar, fruits, and spices. The taste is well balanced, with a caramel, some spices, hops, burt malts, and a warm alcohol finish. The 10% is presant but not overbearing. And there is some wonderful lacing in the glass. :)

Jul 27, 2008 Bottle pours a thick cloudy orange with an almost non-existent tan head. Aroma is sweet, malty, apples, and cloves. Taste is a nice combination of caramel malts, fruits, and hops. Hints of apple and lemon. good alcohol burn. Batch 71.

Jul 27, 2008 Pours a murky orange with a huge long lasting creamy white head. Aromas of citrus. A wonderful balance of citrus hops and malt. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Awesome Beer.

Jul 27, 2008 From bottle #17 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours hazy to murky orange with yeast sediments and a fully diminished white head. Wineous ad slight woody hops aroma. Flavour is sweet caramelish and smooth. Lingering finish of yeast and caramel, hops ad smooth bitterness. Ends warming and slight spiced.

Jul 26, 2008 Deep golden color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is of hops, citrus, and fresh fruit, with a hint of caramel. Flavor is fruity, sweet, mildly hoppy with spiciness and a subtle rye flavor. Warming alcohol character.

Jul 26, 2008 Thanks to Santa for this one. Pours out a very nice slightly reddish golden color with a nice lacing head. Aroma is of some nice sweet fruits with slight bitterness. Taste is complex with sweet fruits, sugar, earth and some slight bitterness, the alcohol on this one doesn’t creep up until the finish. Very solid.

Jul 23, 2008 Bottle: Hazy red colour,,flat head. Aroma of raisins,caramel,alcy,dust, and some viny nose in the end. Flavor is almost the same. Medium to big caramelly body.Medium fruity finish. This was a nice beer indeed!
