A nice maibock overall. Pours an ugly clear yellow, but smells very nice, of pear and peach. Tate is light and smooth, with more pear, pineapple, and a bit of a dry cider quality in the finish. Had on tap at the brewery.

This was a tasting glass at the brewpub. In the glass it was a bright clear gold with a white head. Nose of grains and lemon. Medium plus body and e very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is not complex and is of light malts and lemon. Finish is bland. Refreshing.

On tap @ Hair of the Dog. Pale yellow pour with white foam. Has a bunch of straw and fruity esters on the nose, particularly grape and apple. Decent bit of bread and biscuit malts. Mildly hoppy. Flavor is pretty much just sweet bread and grains, but there is a touch of bitter, dried straw. Admittedly, not a style I usually love anyway and this one is pretty average.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, large creamy white head, nice lacing. Aroma is light, honey, malty, a hint of field grass. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, clean and pleasant. Honey and hay. Some biscuit. Medium body.

3 oz pour into a stemmed tasting glass from tap at the brewery in Portland. Bright yellow, a little hazy, moderate white head. Nose is fruity, maybe pineapple. Medium to light body and creamy. Taste is lots of fruitiness. Mostly mango and maybe guava or pineapple. A few nice fruity layers. Starts sweet and ends with a little citrus bite.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a smallish white head on there. Nose has some slight citrus to it with moderate grains. Taste has light grains coming off it with some citrus, almost like it was brewed with lemongrass. Nice brew.

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is grassy with some sugar and baking spice. Notes of jolly ranchers are prevalent. It pours a nurky bronze with a white, foamy head. A thick ring and fuzzy surface is retained and an abundant, thick, puffy sheet lace is left behind. Thr taste is a medium sweet and light bitter blend. A thin texture is accompanied by a prickly carbonation. The medium body contains notes of bread crust, caramel, and spice. Spice and candy finish it off. It’s crisp with a light bready and spicy aftertaste.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2014 Sampler at brewery. Slightly sweet white bread flavor. Hoppiness apparent. Thickness felt on the cheeks. Not as sharp and crisp as I like and a slightly chemical character as well.

Dull tan, thin head, great floral aroma with delicate spice. Firm malty character, slight yeast, alcohol in the finish. The light florals are neither as prominent nor refined as in Franconian examples, though.
