4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
2009 Bottleworks X bottle. Pours a dark copper amber with no head. The aroma is strong smoke, oak, booze, pepper. Thin mouthfeel with flavors that just keep coming as you drink with nice apple coming through in the finish. Wow really enjoyed this one.
2010-way more smoke then the 09.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very dark ruby-tinged brown with minimal beige lacing. Complex aroma of overripe apple, brown sugar, dried dark fruits, leather, tobacco, charred oak, and traces of cacao powder. Very good balance of liqueur sweetness with the bourbon bitterness. Smooth, full-bodied by not too heavy, and little by way of carbonation. Mild to moderate alcohol in the lingering finish .

Bottle share. Original Batch. About as close as you can get to perfection. I can smell this beer for an hour alone. A perfect combination of base beer and barrel aging. Basically is similar to Adam from the Wood but add the eau de vie barrels for that little bit extra that sends over the top. The bourbon and apple barrel mix pefectly to create a sweet bourbon flavor. One of my all time favorite beers.

Thank you luttonm for sharing this excellence. Tested in Belgrade during an amazing private event. Too good to think about rating it right away and now it is too late to list the tons of notes and sensations this beer offers to the luckiest man who holds it. Pours very dark, some reddish appearance and practically no foam. Nose of cherries, jam of fresh European fruit, sweetness. Mouth of an amazing complexity...unique! I will never forget this beer! I will fight to have another one. luttonm THANK YOU!

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A- Pours a dark brown hue with little to no head.
S- Prune, chocolate, caramel, hints of sour cherry.
T- Hints of anise up front, sweet brown sugar notes, lots of raisin and prune, sour cherries fade to a faint coffee finish.
M- Thick with medium-low carbonation.
D- An intensely interesting beer that leads to a deeply visceral experience. At first I wasn’t quite sure the flavors meshed well for me but after sifting through layer after layer and enjoying it as it warms I have to say it’s up there with some of the most interesting beers I have had the chance to taste.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. 2013 vintage. Looks dark brown without any head. Thick, syrupy sticky dark malts. Hints of bourbon.
Flavor is almost like a barley wine. Flavor is dark fruits, plums and figs, dark burnt molasses, sticky fruits and oak. Texture is on the sticky sweet side. Sweet and oaky. Nice light slap of bourbon in the finish.
Overall this is a damn fine sipper. I enjoy the bourbon underneath all dark sweet malts. Complex flavors.
