Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, roasted malt, wood, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, chocolate, wood, and over ripe fruits, leading to an alcoholic finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Tweety. Pours a clear warm reddish brown with a small, rough off-white head. Intense aroma of dried fruit and some bourbon. Quite full-bodied but rather flat, hard roasted malt, Bourbon notes but also peaty whisky. Dried fruit - prunes in particular. Warming alcoholic finish. 240709

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small redish glare and a minimal white head. Cherry fruity and roasted malt aroma. Sweet malty and light honey like flavoured. Smooth fruity and roasted malt flavoured. Lingering smooth finish with a nice malt, cherry and honey mix of flavours. Just my simple reference of flavours.

Bottled, thanks xmarcnolanx! Pours thick with mahogany colour, almost no head. Woody pear abd orange aroma. Concentrated flavours with plenty of smoke, wood and caramel. Very powerful with massive amounts of soft malt backing up the high alcohol creating a warming, full flavoured concotion that are to be enjoyed very carefully.

Dark brown color; no carbonation nor head. Rich aroma, sweet caramel, molasses, maple syrup, plums, raisins; it also has a mouldy oak cask touch, a bit musky too. Good body strength, partially syrupy mouthfeel; the flavor goes in line with the aroma: maple syrup, more chocolatey, a bit alcoholic, with molasses and some raisin, with strong bitterness. It would be better if the final would be less alcoholic. Interesting; I don’t think it’s spectacular, but it’s a good Barley Wine.
