2012 vintage drunk on 11/22/13. A nice Flanders Red but didnít blow me away like I had hoped it would. Has a typical Brett nose but lacks strong sour notes. The flavor also lacks in the sour department but does have noticeable barrel aged oakiness to it that isnít overwhelming. Overall a pleasant wild but not a sour that can be compared to their neighbors at Cascade.

Bottle thanks to Bytemesis. Pours murky, dark red, almost brown with an off white head. Nose is full of tart cherry aroma and dried fleshy fruit. Taste is a smooth and less tart cherry with some slight raisin and oxidation, but isnít quite papery yet. Light cocoa and a hint of chest thumping sour. A smooth and creamy malt backbone with light vanilla as well. Very good.

Reddish brown with a nice golden head. Aroma is cherry, fig, sour plum, red wine vinegar, red currants. Medium bodied. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, great balance of fruity sweetness and sharp tartness on the palate with a passing hint of bitterness followed by a slightly jammy finish. Taste is sour cherry, plum, pomegranate, cranberry, red currant, red wine vinegar.

Dark red pour from 12oz bottle at Lakehouse. Bottle from trade. Cherry and fruits for the aroma. Sour for sure. Wood chips and earthy fruity taste. Good shiz

Bottle. Pours hazy burnt umber, small beige head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is woody, vinous, cherries, oak, whiskey, funky, horse blanket. Flavor is medium tart, lightly funky fairly acidic actually, woody and vinous, some dark sugar notes, dried fruits, cherries. Medium body, a bit creamy in the mouth. Fairly complex and solid.

12oz bottle pours murky red brown with not much head. Nose is acidic, wet wood and some cherry fruit, vinous notes, light oak. Taste is high acidity, maybe a touch acetic, flanders-esque tart cherry notes with some woody vanilla. Finishes with some vinous woody dark cherry fruit, light spice, acidic. Drinks a bit like a sour red wine.

Pours a hazy rusty sienna color with a slight gathering of gaseous bubbles on the pour. Nose is musty cherry, some sweet malt, composted fruit, old wood. Palate follows with some nice sherry notes, tart vinegar, layers of dark fruit, just a bit lifeless on the body with no carb and slightly flabby palate !

2012 bottle. Cloudy reddish orange pour with very little head. Aroma is apple and cherry skins, lots of oak, some vanilla, and red wine. Tastes like cherry skins and oak mostly. Some sherry, vinegar and light brett funk. Just a hint of sourness. Moderately acidic. Decent but surprisingly boring.

Poured from bottle, dark red color with no head. I actually think this one lost its carbonation. The aroma is a funky/tart smell, but not strong enough. Taste is flat. I'll have to try this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2015 2012 vintage. Slightly dirty amber color, no head. Aroma is sharp vinager and sour oak. Well let me say that I really hate this style as a whole I donít know why people enjoy drinking vinager and dirty butthole but I guess if that is your thing...... Enjoy. Thankfully this is mild on the vinager with a lightly oaky finish. Iím sure this is good for the style bit its not something I would ever reach for, especially for the price. Thanks for sharing Brian... I guess?
