4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sparky27 is out of control. When he busted out two bottles of this for the Black Friday tasting I lost my shit. That said -- thank you, Eric! Pours garnet in color with a lazy ring of tan carbonation. Smells and tastes of tart cherries, raspberries, green strawberries, and a warming note of alcohol. The barrel seems to hold it all together on the mid palate, and there is a notable champagne dryness on the finish. A fine memorial.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - thanks to Eric. Pours hazy, pink-amber with a pink foam head. Gusher! Acetic berry aroma with definite vinegar notes. Light sweet flavor with overripe and musty berries, some bitter cherry pits and berry skins, alcohol, dry wood. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lightly sour, with faint alcohol burn and bittersweet berries. Fair.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2012 vintage drunk on 11/22/13. A nice Flanders Red but didnít blow me away like I had hoped it would. Has a typical Brett nose but lacks strong sour notes. The flavor also lacks in the sour department but does have noticeable barrel aged oakiness to it that isnít overwhelming. Overall a pleasant wild but not a sour that can be compared to their neighbors at Cascade.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of 3L bottle, batch 1, thanks to Bill for this pour! Dark murky brownish red pour with no head, gushed out of the bottle. Aroma brought sour vinegar, oak, slight earthy, red wine tones, touch of yeast into some sweet red fruit, cherry, slight berry notes, with a slight hint of off herbal tones. Taste is a mix of herbal, grass and yeasty notes into red wine, oak, vinegar, slight fruity notes with berries and dark cherry, finishing bitter, tart. Definitely past its prime.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Red/brown pour with minimal head. Wonderful aroma of wine, mild tart, and some mild sweetness to boot. Taste is very oaky, finishes with some spice almost no tart. Intersting beer and enjoyable but not what Iíve come to expect from the style

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - Very vinous and spicy with a bit of sourness. Cloudy orange and red with a thin head. Woody and sweet with some nice acidity and bitterness. A great beer that I think will get better with age.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Eric. It pours hazy reddish-amber with a small white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, strawberry, sherry, acidic, wood, coconut and vanilla. The taste is bitter-sweet, tangy, acidic, berry, musty, wood, vinous, light mould, alcohol warmth and toast with a tangy finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I like the strawberry character on the nose. Pretty nice stuff.
