On tap @ HotD. Pours murky almost muddy brown with no head whatsoever. Aroma is big bourbon and peaches. Somewhat thin mouthfeel and totally flat. Taste is huge rich earthy oaky malts with notes of peaches, cherries, charred oak, bourbon, and figs. Super boozy, 13% feels on the lighter end. I haven’t had either of the beers they used to make this, but the end result is impressive. If there were some additional carbonation added this could be amazing.

Pour is dark murky brown with tons of sediment and a thin light brown head. Nose is rich malt, chocolate and dates with notes of alcohol. Taste is also very rich malt, not really sugary. Caramel, chocolate, brown sugar, notes of alcohol. Full bodied and soft carb with a creamy feel.

Bottle shared with me by AKfaust: Wow he poured this with a strainer and it was amazing to see all the chunks of fruit/unknown chunks that would have been in my glass. The actual glass was filled with murky brown meets burgundy, the head was white. Aroma is strong mixed fruits with vanilla. Taste is sweet aged peach and cherry fruit with bourbon vanilla clinging to it.

Vintage 2013. Thanks Kev!

Slightly hazy red brown colour, white head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, fruity, malts, dried apricot, honey, red fruits. Sweet flavour, bourbon, wood, candy sugar. Sweet finish, malts, candy, honey, dates, sticky dried fruits.
(from 35cL bottle @ ElManana’s first 9050 tasting. Thanks for sharing, ElManana!)

Bottle at ElManana's 1st 9050 tasting, thanks! Murky red-brown with no head. Explosion of bourbon, vanilla, some milk chocolate. Very sweet, some bourbon, dried dark fruits, but sugar dominates the whole thing. Too sweet for me personally.

The last remaining 12 oz bottle. I decided to strain out the chunks this time around. Poured into a snifter, the color is somewhat murky deep purple with ample (but short-lived) head that dissipates to a fine ring of bubbles. No lacing. It’s remarkable how different this looks from Fred. Aroma: molasses and stone fruits condensed for hours into a jammy syrup. Taste: quite sweet; fruity, but the fruit isn’t exactly at the forefront, despite being present throughout. Just a hint of appropriate tartness (think: fruit-tart, not "sour beer" tart). Palate: full body, average carbonation, sticky texture. Overall: this is a bottle that probably ought to be shared, given its intensity. Nonetheless, I’m happy to enjoy this one all alone tonight. Another special creation from HotD.
